I'm also fortunate to have a job where I can afford to do so, and have a group of friends willing and able to do so as well. Others don't, and I'm aware of that. I know you met me with my father a couple of years ago, but make no mistake, I had to drag his ass on that trip, and I picked that week because other friends were going too. A lot of things went right for that to happen.

I guess my overall point is I don't really know how big of a fan someone like Pegs is of the Broncos or the Sabres, and no offense to him, I really don't care. We interact with a bunch of people on this site, 99.9% of whom we really don't know (with a few exceptions), for entertainment purposes only. If you're knowledgeable and coherent enough to string together a reasonably well thought-out take on this team, that's good enough for me.

Not even being the least bit sarcastic, Craig Anderson has been a top 10 goalie in the league this year.

Have UPL (prior to last 4 starts) and Comrie costed us points this year ? Absolutely.

But our goaltending is actually league average when you consider the whole pie.

The biggest issue was losing half our d-corps for 8 games and not managing to at least pick up a couple loser points or a win or two.

This is one way to look at it, but it's not right IMO. Anderson is great once a week. That's it. Once a week. That does not make him a top 10 goalie. Frankly, I don't know what it makes him except very good once a week. I assume he starts against the Bruins today, and then he's on the shelf again for 3 games. If he doesn't win today he could end up going 20 days or so without a win. Again, I don't exactly know what that is, but it's not top 10.

Every NHL team has injuries. The team we just whipped, Detroit, has a bunch of them that never get mentioned. I get it, our young D core got wiped out, but every team has the same or similar story. I can't find a good website tracking man games lost to injury, but what I have found does not show the Sabres near the top of the NHL in this stat. Our injuries do not appear to be out of the ordinary in comparison to other teams.
