UPL growing before are eyes. Really fun to finally see quite a few of these prospects grow so fast in front of us. Botts set the the foundation very nicely and Ventura Crowe and Adams have added some very nice pieces to the puzzle. Growth pattern of some of these prospects is pretty wild.

Glad to see that you can objectively look at what is going on with the team, rather than continuing to be weighed down by 11 years of stink.

I for one saw the transition building, but had many, many questions about most of the roster...could each player carry it over from last season, or were some an anomaly. I expected to see a mix for this season...some regression and some taking a step forward, and young players getting opportunities ... but could they cash them? It was why I was and still am fine using this year to develop and evaluate both the Sabres and Amerks.

So far, IMO they are ahead of schedule...lots more development and some further evaluation required, but the picture is far more clear. That timing is perfect though, as the FO now has ~2-1/2 months to find suitable trade partners to fill one or two holes where the pipeline is weak.

I will eat some Crow!! Still would have liked a upgrade at 3LW and 2RD, not gonna change my stance on that. But I am pleasantly surprised at the growth of these prospects, and how many seem to be turning the corners. Hands off to the Coaching Staffs in Buffalo but also Rochester. Botts laid a foundation and Crowe Ventura Adams are filling in the pieces nicely.
