delay each playoff round by 1 week
push pro bowl til after super bowl
1 week instead of 2 weeks between title games and super bowl

There are multiple ways they could do it, and might do it. Despite the statement they just released, I can guarantee you they have people working out different scenarios and waiting for the "appropriate" time to release their decision.

I think the super bowl is actually a much bigger deal than we think it is. They did move it back one year - was it for 9/11? I don't think they would condense it down to one week.

Yes, and if I am not mistaken, it traded weeks with a car show in New Orleans.

Nick Wright suggested on Cowherd's show that the Bills would/should get the biggest say on what happens, whether it's a tie, canceled game, or just simply made up later. I highly doubt they'll give either team an automatic win or loss.

They were prepared for some teams not to play a full schedule during covid, they should be fine with it now.

Have to wonder if Sunday's game is in question too.

I already went there

It’s unprecedented

But they were in the lead when play was stopped and we had a roster emergency

Let your heads clear and you will understand this is the right thing to do

We should forfeit

- Nightmare Fuel

MLB has rules in place for how long a game needs to be played before they can consider it a complete game. The NFL does not have those rules. Making a team declare a forfeit because they had a player almost die on the field is not the right thing to do, so you can just stop there.

In College they have to play 3 quarters to consider it a complete game that cannot be finished.

I personally think that’s what will happen but I don’t think it matters.

This team is traumatized. I can’t see them getting past what happened this season. It’s all irrelevant at this point.

They legitimately witnessed one of their own getting revived right in front of them. I cannot fathom them being focused enough for any type of meaningful run and I don’t blame them one bit

the nfl suspended the game, not canceled it

players get counselling if needed

resume the game when able to resume it

ravens deserve every chance to win their division as well and the only way that is finish this game at some point, not declare a winner after 9 minutes of play

this is a billion dollar league

in other work places, regroup and continue

exactly

they did not want this game finished this week

that is all we know, and that is the right thing to do

Cincy wins this week they win the division, the real question is do both teams want to continue to see who is the 1,2,3 seed? Starting that game at that stadium at the extra time could bring back some major trauma for both teams.

It is an awful situation that happened during the most important (standings wise) this late in the season for a MNF ever.

That is the worst suggestion I've seen.

Its either a tie or you play the game at a later date.

You can't declare a winner after 7 minutes of play.

Games get turned upside down with less than 7 minutes left and there was over 3 quarters of play left.

Think the NFL are looking into it, but might as well and wait until after this week. A lot could take care of itself seed wise. More worried about the Bills even being able to play this week, mentally. What they saw and watched last night burns into your Brain.

I see only 2 ways this goes down. There will be no tie.. I highly doubt Cincy no matter what the outcome is regarding Hamlin they are not going to agree to that. it would effect too many other teams standings.

so, only two things can happen.

1: we forfeit.
2: we play.

IMO, I think we will forfeit. I cant see how we are going to play a GAME with what happened to Hamlin yesterday nor should they. Those players are going to need some therapy and some of us fans too.

Going even further, it's not inconceivable that the Bills would have to go there for a playoff game too.

You think Cincy is going to take a fake win because it'll effect to many teams?

After the display of respect form their end last night I am certain that won't happen unless the league forces it upon them.

Optics matter here. The league can't do something that would make them look like monsters.
