Welcome aboard the train Hank!
Glad to see that you can objectively look at what is going on with the team, rather than continuing to be weighed down by 11 years of stink.

I for one saw the transition building, but had many, many questions about most of the roster...could each player carry it over from last season, or were some an anomaly. I expected to see a mix for this season...some regression and some taking a step forward, and young players getting opportunities ... but could they cash them? It was why I was and still am fine using this year to develop and evaluate both the Sabres and Amerks.

So far, IMO they are ahead of schedule...lots more development and some further evaluation required, but the picture is far more clear. That timing is perfect though, as the FO now has ~2-1/2 months to find suitable trade partners to fill one or two holes where the pipeline is weak.
Go get 'em Kevyyyyy!

"There was doubt because that's what a few teams are dealing with right now."

This is you, somehow justifying pilut's nhl value.

I'm just repeating your words and opinions.

No, you're just trying to relate it to Asplund because you have an unhealthy obsession and think it's still funny.

So sick of calling yellow gold and the current shade of blue is too bright. The stripes are too thick and the whole set just looks like a bad version of our original uniforms.

We went from slug, to so-navy-it-might-as-well-be-black and back to “royal” blue. It’s a few shades too bright on both the yellow and blue.

vs.

You see how much nicer that blue pops in the Mogilny picture? It’s subtle but it’s there, the yellow is also a shade darker. It drives me nuts. And all in the name of standardization of manufacturing techniques.

- BeadyEyedDouche

I can't agree with you more. The original uniform should be our uniform. Everything is black, a morbid color. Be different and better.

You can’t waste a potential Hart finalist season from Thompson and an almost sure fire Norris finalist season from Dahlin. Not to mention career years from 89,53 and a breakout from Cozens.

Adams owes it to legitimately everyone from the players to the fans to do everything possible to make the playoffs.

quinn and peterka dominated the ahl at 19 though

kulich is putting up decent numbers but not dominating like they did last year

- homiedclown

Quinn and Peterka were D + 2 though last year

Kulich is D + 1 and is the youngest player in the league.

Being an extra year older and playing an extra year of professional hockey is pretty substantial when we are talking about 18 and 19 year old kids.

What's funny is your whole KA and management can't do anything right routine.

Donnie plays the wrong guys 😀

Dress the wrong players
Sign the wrong guys

You would think a 5 game winning streak would make you step back from this garbage.

Still can't get over your "glue " guy comment with asplund.

If you want to improve the team to make a playoff run, it almost has to be upgrading Bryson, Mitts, or VO.

Much more likely that they just spin this as 'heading in the right direction'.

I’ll stay in the minority camp that says we shouldn’t be moving meaningful assets for rentals just to make the playoffs this year.

Now if there is a player that helps you today and for the next several seasons, that’s different.

I think a rental is absolutely fine depending on cost.

We literally don’t have enough roster spots and contract spots to continue to make all of our draft picks and not make any moves

Adams doesn’t “owe” anyone anything at all,
except his employer
This attitude that the fans are “owed” anything is an utter joke

And while it would be great to make the playoffs this season- that’s not the goal
Winning the Cup is

So his focus should be on what turns this team into a legit contender, year after year

Now if a move (or moves) can be made that help the Sabres make the playoffs now- AND still keeps us in line for the ultimate goal- then great
But again, making the playoffs THIS season is secondary to that goal

When it comes to sports fans, the minority is the place to be, seeing how 90% of them are morons. The Sabers would be in the bottom 5 had they listened to half the people on here clamoring for additions. Seeing how they would have already traded Dahlin, Tage, 6k, Cozens, never drafted Quinn, etc. It's funny how the fans with the worst hockey takes scream the loudest.
