Kulich has been incredible.
I liked Ostlund and I think with a couple years of development the Sabres really have something there.
Rosen had some wow moments, not consistent enough though for my liking. When he’s on, he’s on though. I’m worried he becomes Olofsson 2.0 though - Swedish_Jesus
Rosen is expendable to me in a trade for a guy now. I would like to keep our other high end prospects |

That sucks for Kulich.
Hate that for him after he had such a good tournament |

So is it Tage Thompsons fault if the Sabres miss the playoffs this year ?
With that logic ? - Swedish_Jesus
Well you just went off the rails there. Not even the same conversation but I wish you the best. Cheers
Edit. Regardless about team results, Jeff skinner had a 1 off under eichel. We all called it fluke. Now not soo much. |

I think I'd be more worried about the guy who didn't think he was the best. Plus Murray set him up for it. - Wetbandit1

The tank worked.
The inability to build around Eichel was the issue.
Fortunately for us, Tage has emerged as a franchise top line Center.
You aren’t going to win a cup without an elite 1C.
Also Dahlin and Power are #1 OA picks so the tank is still paying dividends. - Swedish_Jesus
We will be the Buffalo model. Needed to make a lot of trades but shear accumulation of picks allowed us to be successful. |

I would serve him with a healthy slice of blame pie as the captain and a supposed leader of men, but that's just me - Hank Balling
If you want to hang it on leadership, it can't just be on Eichel. Our current C and A's were there too. Now that he's in a better situation, it seems like a complete non-issue.

My guy, you said nobody flourished with him and I gave you Jeff Skinner scoring 40.
You then said “how did that work out for them” and moved the goal posts.
If we are moving the goal posts, then we can say the same for Tage then if we miss the playoffs no ? What good do his goals and assists count for ?
Elite players have great seasons on crappy teams all the time. Just some fanbases don’t rag the elite player, this is not one of those fanbases |

Brian Gionta is that guy with the goatee who is a supervisor where you work and always shows up but has zero social awareness and gives canned ham responses when put in situations where that’s a great question and I will work on this from home and get back to you tomorrow after I come back from a 2 week vacation I was totally planning before you asked me to do my job see ya in 2 weeks d¡ckhead, if you can’t forget you know me I will give myself acute encephalopathy through copious amounts of alcohol and forget who you are anyway so yeah anyway that’s a great question. |

He was a quiet leader. He must have had some leadership qualities, he was the 1st American captain in the habs existence.
We had a bunch of losers clearly surrounding brian too.
Bogo, ek9, ror, lehner , jack, sam .probably mccabe and risto too.
Everyone but erod and the old dude that was a former 2nd overall. He would take eichel out to eat. |

Agreed, and he was very close to win it at the end of the 3rd.

He’s exactly what the middle 6 of our forward corps needs right now.
He will fit like a glove when he’s ready whether it’s next year or the year after. |

I don’t understand the neutral site. Is that only if Chiefs, Bills or Bengals are there? There’s no guarantee that any of those teams will even be there. If it’s the Bills vs. Ravens, the game shouldn’t be played in Buffalo? I really don’t mind it I guess because you’re guaranteed to get a good weather game. I think that is what’s really driving this and they’re using this as a reason to guarantee a good weather game. I was not at 51-3, but always thought a home Conference Championship is the pinnacle of sports events. |

How did that work out for Jeff skinner? Gets traded and nets 40 his first season. Then under a JE run team he steadily seems to get worse and yes jack had his way in buffalo. Got coaches fired and his coaches brought in. I apologize for the way my initial post came off. I see it could be interpreted other ways than what was intended. I didn’t mean how did that work out for the sabres I meant how did that work out for Jeff skinner. There will always be the exception to the rule but players did not flourish until Jack left. |

The NFL has officially declared the Bills and Bengals' Week 17 game a no contest.
This means the game is no longer in a state of postponement and will not be made up. It also means all statistics that were accumulated up to the point of the Monday evening postponement will be null and void. It's a tough development for fantasy managers who had championships riding on the outcome of Monday evening's game, but the only reasonable path forward for the league. The league has also announced it is implementing a number of playoff contingencies based on the results of this weekend's contest. If the Ravens beat the Bengals, for instance, the host of that Wild Card contest will be determined via coin flip. The AFC Championship Game could also be played at a neutral site if "the participating teams played an unequal number of games and both could have been the number one seed and hosted the game had all AFC clubs played a full 17-game regular season." This is because the seeding is now based on winning percentage instead of raw record and head-to-head tiebreakers. The league will formally vote on the proposal Friday, but we would expect it to pass. |
