There was a time a few years back that Staal, Hall, Larry, Curly, and Mo Okposo couldn't score more than one a game to help out the goalies. Looking back that team had offensive power but this team has something more special. They are a team. - Freddie krug

Assuming Toews waives, big assumption, what do you give up for him and Murphy? - boilermaker100
This is not a trade offer in what I believe they are worth league wide. It's what they're worth to me personally within the structure of this organization.
Currently, Toews would need to be 3C. He's also a rental and extremely expensive on the cap.
Murphy would be 2 or 3 RD, which when healthy we're pretty full on. We'd have to send Olofsson and Joker back to Chicago. Team likes Krebs at 4C and Jost at 3C. If they're ok pushing Jost to the wing and believe Murphy is an upgrade to Joker, which I believe would be true, you could find a way here.
Problem is, they don't have interest in players like Toews, based on his age and UFA status. I think they'd love his leadership but I don't think you're getting anywhere close to what Chicago values him at, from Buffalo.
So what I'd personally offer, and it's probably underwhelming, is:
Joker
Olofsson
Nadeau (prospect)
or
Weissbach/Biro, both ready for NHL minutes this year on a poor team.
I'd rather just leave Toews out and send something with Joker for Murphy. |

I wouldn't touch Toews, I would take Murphy.
Philadelphia's 2nd and Bloom seems to work with a few Chicago fans I have talked to. |

If you don't believe Murphy is a 2nd pair RHD, why make that deal?
Wouldn't the best trade be one that leaves them with a bottom 2 RHD of Murphy and Jokiharju?
Feels like exchanging Jokiharju for Murphy is not really addressing the defense shortcoming.
Curious how much Severson is looking for this offseason as a UFA. |

Was looking at some stuff. Every NFL team has to have a Level 1 Trauma Team at every game. When the Pegula's took over the Bills they didn't think it was enough. When they redid the Facilities they added another Level 1 Trauma team. Every game day they have 2 fully staffed Trauma teams Available. And they have a Personal Trauma team not associated with the trainers per say and of course not as big that Travel with the team. Trying to post the article but they want me to subscribe to this Doctors medical site, guess you only get 1 free look. |

I mean I believe Murphy would play RD2.
So you'd employ Samuelsson, Murphy, Joker and Lyubushkin? |

Chicago's Prospect pool is pretty bad, Bloom would easily slot into there top10, maybe top 7. And that 2nd is looking like a late 1st. A lot wanted Nadeau, but I really don't want to give him up. |

Agreed.
Leave Toews out of the deal unless they are giving him away (not).
Also, one more attempt from you to even suggest trading Nadeau will result in significant bodily harm!
You have been warned, heed the warning, lol

I like Nadeau and Bloom. It's hard to see them past the 3rd line but I love their play style, it's something this team desperately needs more of.
But in that range of prospects, they're the most valuable. Unless you're trading elite pieces, you don't see teams giving up top 5 prospects. |
