Sanheim somehow does a pretty good job generating offense at even strength. I think he’s awful on the power play. - SuperSchennBros
Who finishes the year with more goals a combination of nic d & zac attack (who if you read most posts here are 2 of the most god awful hockey players there is) or stud dman Ivan Provorov?
Or Provy or Sedlak |

You can take a chill pill too before things degrade too far and bans have to be handed out. Just discuss the hockey. |

The Flyers are obviously playing a bigger, faster and highly skilled team. Several Flyers have had a bad game, including Carter Hart who’s let up some shaky goals and a bad turnover, Frost has had a couple of bad turnovers that lead to goals against, Tippet, Laughton and others have had good looks and shot the Puck a mile wide of the net and yet D’Angelo makes one or two turnovers, and Torts benches him for almost the entire game. This makes absolutely no sense to me. None of the Flyers are having a good game. Why is D’Angelo being singled out? To me it’s the difference between playing a better team versus playing a bad game. Tonight the Flyers are playing a superior team. |

Some good pieces on the Flyers. I can see why management through Torts was a good choice for the team. Hoping to make the team better as a group which he has done in the past. I don't know if it's working or not but hey, at least I get fun interviews again. |

I don’t see how the Leafs are much bigger than the Flyers if at all. I’d also say Torts has been pretty favorable towards DeAngelo for most of the season. |

Hey, we're in agreement on something. Konecny blew a coverage leading to a goal. Frost had a couple careless turnovers that led to a goal against. So, what is the standard. DeAngelo is a flawed player but he is what he is. I could see if it was a effort issue but I haven't seen that all year with DeAngelo. I don't know what purpose benching DeAngelo serves.

The Flyers made too many mistakes against a good team and Caaaater Haaat looked rather shaky at times. That's a losing proposition when you are playing a team that is obviously more talented than you are. |

York was the same player he is now last year for 30 games. - MJL
York admitted that he came to camp intimidated by what he had heard of Torts. By his own admission. He had gotten into his own head about it. Torts talked to him, on open ice, one may assume it was about expectation..
He was sent down to the AHL, has had time to find himself himself again and has played to a level that he is capable of. It's very obvious that Torts made a good call and sent him down to find his game again. We can disagree all day but i prefer not to. York is reaching his potential and one way or another he is here as he is. Let's just enjoy the development of York and the other kids as we watch it happen.
So far, York is reaching his ceiling and it's fun to watch happen.
Disagree or not, but I give some credit to Torts, even though I wish they hadn't hired him this season. Damn it |

Think he was the only player uneasy about Tortorella. This is a bunch of psycho BS that comes along with having a coach like Tortorella. It's obvious to me that it was a bad call and that York was capable of playing in the NHL in October. A subpar camp doesn't change that. They had a sample of 30 NHL regular season games to draw from. Luckily, it's not going to hurt the player but it was the wrong decision made under the influence of the coach.
