I happened to by tix to an NYR game a couple years back from stubhub. Brought my 9 year old daughter to the game. I didn't know it was LGTBQ night. My daughter asked me why they were wearing Rainbow jerseys in warmups. Told her it was to celebrate spring...Crisis averted???......nope. During 2nd intermission, they played video on Jumbotron with chixs w/ dix wearing dresses, gay hockey league, on and on and on. Try explaining that to a 9yr. Old. Complete BS forcing parents to discuss sexuality to their kids, if they don't want to at a sporting event. And I'm sure 75% of the people in attendance had no idea it was LGTBQ night either.

Provorov didn't say anything negative towards anyone...just opted out of wearing jersey. Totally his right....

For you to say "he should of just wore the jersey," like it means nothing, is more disrespectful than what you say he did. Good for him to stand up and follow what he thought was right. What he did , or in this case, didn't do, is a big nothing burger

It's not like MSG put some gays (frank)ing on the jumbo-tron. No need to explain the sex part to someone you feel isn't ready yet. "Sometimes people want to be with the same gender person instead of the male/female example you're familiar with".
