As much as some people hate it, I feel its inevitable Kane is a Ranger.

Everyone keeps talking about the deadline cap expansion, I dont know how that works but... either way. If theyre trading for Kane, Im pretty sure Chytil might end up going the other way.

So were already unsure about whether or not he can maintain his pace and were giving up a 1st rounder?

We get two years tho. I’m not a doctor but I don’t think an Achilles injury would sap a hockeys players speed, unlike baseball or football where it’s all running. To go fast you go side to side right? Not trying to be a dyck lol just using my big ole fat head again

On Kane…if they can get him for two firsts: one in ‘23 and one in ‘24 I think people could live with it.

Rangers aint traiding Chytil. This needs to end. The only way they would, is for a better center in a package deal

to win the Cup, you have to be strong down the middle, depth on the blueline and great goaltending

if anything happens to Zib or Trocheck, Chytil becomes huge factor, not that he isn't already there

Nah. I have seen several people mention Chytil Dude is finally playing great and we are going to trade him for a winger. Boom back to the Rangers having no center depth I will bet my left testicle he isn't being traded

Stride might be side to side, but speed comes from stride recovery. The quicker to you can get you leg back in front of you is where your speed comes from.

In any event the idea is to get a more impactful player than Gavrikov with the 23 first imo. I’d prefer a winger, or scorer. Problem is every name available gets shot down here lol

The problem is theyre either not significant enough, or way too big a name and would cost too much.

Im not necessarily shooting Duclair down outright, but I'd be shocked if it cost 1st rounder, and actually pissed

The misconception I think is, Chytil would have to be a part of the deal to make the salaries work, not necessarily do I or we want him in the deal. I gather this makes the deal that much harder to bare I’d prefer not to trade anyone for a Kane believe me, I just think he puts us over the top and I’d be willing to sacrifice something somewhere to get him. All while keeping him past this year which is the only I do the damn deal

Again though, its sacrificing center depth for a winger. That to me is a huge no no. I don't disagree that it could make that Panarin line fantastic, but it makes the 3rd line crap. Overall it makes the team depth worse if Chytil is traded. Chytil, I would argue, is the 2nd best center on the team. Trochek is good but I think Chytil is better.

I understand the whole center thing I beat that drum to death lol but once we got Trocheck, Fil became a 3rd liner for the foreseeable future. Now if you wanna move him to the wing in the top 6, and get another C I’m ok with that too. Ie -Horvat. I just think they need one more impactful forward to win it all, whomever that may be
