Good play, but I don't see this sticking out as a top pass of the year by any means lol Hughes is a beast though, love watching him play. |

Think ill trade that for a guy who has 30 goals and 30 assists half way through the season, but hey face off percentage wins games, not goals. but least you guys have Copp with 5 goals with a very important 48% face off win percentage - devils2929
What does Copp being a 3C have to do with Hughes not being even remotely close to being MVP? |

I mean its McDavid, but where do you get Jack Hughes, come on Tage Thompson is a better pick than Hughes - icemen
Sure tage has more goals and points
But has he got the sabres in a playoff position?
Hughes is playing with I can't score a goal on an open net haula and is still 30/30 and has the devil's 2nd (tied for 1st in points but Carolina has a game in hand, devil's have most regulation wins and ROW) in a division which is much more competitive other than Columbus
Edit
But it is clearly McDavid who is MVP |

Love my Devils, and I love Jack Hughes. He is an electrifying player that creates opportunities out of thin air. At only 21 years old the sky is the limit, and his time as MVP will come - but that time is not now - not yet. For now it belongs to McDavid.
As others have stated McDavid is on a different level. However, I do wonder what Hughes stat-line would look like this year if he had a competent and legitimate scoring/playmaker for a line-mate. Instead, he is doing all of this anchored by none other than former 182nd overall pick, Erik Haula (4g, 17a) - truly remarkable. Can't wait for Timo, or Horvat, or Tarasenko on March 3rd
Lastly - for those silly folks talking about silly FO% - McDavid won the MVP with a 41% FO%! |

Ullmark - jjackels55
McD
then
Ullmark. he might be the first goalie to win the Hart and Vezina since Price and would be only the 5th to do so.

I'll take Sebastian Aho over Hughes but we can't talk about any player that's in a small hockey market. - Shady1962
Not me. Living in the Carolinas I see a lot of Aho. Very good player but at the end of each of their careers, Jack will likely have much stronger stats IMO |
