Linus Ullmark won't get much love but the guy is 25-2-1 this season.

Auston Matthews is tied for 20th in the overall scoring race. But if you average his numbers from last year with this year's performance he moves up into a top 10 placement. Matthews deserves some MVP special mention because the Leafs will probably, maybe win a playoff round this year.

It is good for the league when a Toronto based team is winning individual awards.

How about Pastrnak? He is amazing on clearly the best team in the league. He did it when everyone was hurt too.

If you watch both teams you can say Hughes more visible with worse linemates. Oilers a lottery team without McDavid. (Actually many Oilers fans agree). Devils a bubble team without Hughes?

Jack Hughes is a GREAT young player, but it's McDavid. McDavid is on pace for 154 points.

I am a huge Hughes fan. This is the dumbest question I have seen to date on this site, McDavid all day, every day. But yes you got me to click. Thank goodness for my ad-blockers!

Right, people seem to forget McDavid only has the second highest player in points on his line which makes a big difference

like not to take anything away from Hughes but McDavid has nearly 30 points more than him.

Draisaitl & Hyman on Mcdavid's line. Haula & Tartar on Hughes line. Talk about mission impossible for Mr. Hughes

Sure, but even if you were to swap linemates Hughes isn't catching McDavid. He's an elite player, but he's not THAT.

Hughes also plays on a team with infinitely better structure and he gets to play with Hamilton while McDavid gets his dogpoop D core.

Great idea... all the 22-23 awards should be based on statistics and performances from the 22-23 season, AND the 21-22 season... because averages and Toronto and stuff.

Zach Hyman is the second highest point player in the league?

Geez, what a great contract!
