That would be pretty stupid. Then we'd be trading a $5M 3rd line center to have another, more expensive and less defensively talented 3rd line center take his spot.
They'd better know that they were landing someone like Tarasenko if that were the case |

Tank is interesting as he's a Ufa but was rumored to have been willing to waive his ntc to come here |

It’s hysterical. Yeah that would be the only reason. Horvat and Barzal would remain in their natural positions and one of them would wind up with tarasenko while the other most likely suffered with a Bailey or something else on their line. |

I have given into this insanity. I just want to see how nuts he could go. I say this being close to positive nothing else major happens. |

It didn’t have to be imo but I’ve moved on from sensibility. Trade whatever is not nailed down. |

Let's be honest. It's not like they draft well, lol They could have very well kept all their assets and still sucked down the road |

I get he doesn’t want to waste Sorokin’s prime, he still thinks parts of this team are good(I agree), and he’s an old geezer so he doesn’t have much time on the earth. I said this with Snow or whoever. I’m consistent with it. If you’re going to go for it don’t half ass it. We’re here there’s no turning back. I still don’t see him doing much more. Not to the level of Meier or Tarasenko. I think he would if he could but we have nothing left. |

Probably, maybe sign Tarasenko in the offseason? I think that's the only avenue left to improve this roster and even then, he is going to have to lose a few contracts in the offseason or that cap space means nothing with Sororkin due a new deal in another year |

I don’t think you will see a deal right away. I think Lou will give it some time to see if Horvat meshes and the team responds to the trade and starts playing better.
At that point I certainly think they may add another piece but again only if they are in PO contention. There is time before the trade deadline and I think they will use it to see how this trade is working out. If they aren’t in contention then you have to think the Islanders become sellers at the trade deadline and start a retool/rebuild. |

Bo Horvat said he is not thinking of a contract extension right now. He’ll let agent Pat Morris and Lou Lamoriello deal with that for now. He just wants to start playing hockey for #Isles and get comfortable on the ice.

What do people expect him to say? Yeah I'll sign anything they put in front of me. Just about every player says they'll let their agent and GM figure it out. Isles twitter is a facking disaster. I don't even read the comments anymore |

I can see Lou holding out on trading him even if he isn’t. In fact I would be shocked if he traded him unless we completely nose dived. If we’re still within reach of the playoffs Horvat is going no where imo. |
