Interesting, I figured he would be in tomorrow, but then again giving Sororkin another day off after all star weekend isn't the worst thing especially with how well he plays at home. - Vukota
That and most likely because the Kraken are a stronger opponent tomorrow.

It may. Hopefully it does. There’s just no where else to play him anyway so hopefully it works. Barzal said the other day the team hasn’t had a spark like this in years so hopefully this lights a fire under the arses. - Cptmjl
I'm preparing myself for both of these scenarios:
A: The Isles score 1-2 goals and the Twittersphere implodes like the house in Poltergeist
B: we unload 4+ goals and we're suddenly Stanley Cup contenders
The problem is what do you do with him? Can’t play him on the Nelson line they are presently our best line. Can’t play him on Pageau’s line they are usually out against the other teams top line. Can’t play him on the fourth line either I don’t think I need to tell you why. So he kind of has to go there and hope for the best. I say that not liking it either. - Cptmjl
Bailey's the only player you try to hide on the first line

The impression I’m getting on social media is we’re already a lock for the playoffs. That is about as far as a foregone conclusion can be.

Looks like Hudson Fasching (lower body) has been activated off IR. No surprise, based on yesterday's practice and today's morning skate. No other roster moves need to be made.
“This is a great opportunity for him,” Islanders head coach Lane Lambert said following Monday’s morning skate when asked if this is a chance for Bailey to get going. “Yeah, we’re certainly looking forward to that happening.”

Friedman seems to think the Canes might want to take Pageau off your hands depending on how things shake out with Horvat there and, I gotta say, I do not understand that in the slightest.

I saw that. Can’t see it but if it did happen it would be an off-season move. He’s a great player.

Lane and everybody else is waiting for Bailey to get going. He’s been that guy his entire career. Perhaps he’s just a mediocre player?? One can make the argument that Bailey, along with many other Snow first round picks were similar personalities. Snow said they drafted “character”, but his idea of character were soft skill players with a side of nerd. Lotta first rounders who lacked the killer instinct.

What you really want is Josh Bailey. Where else in the league are you going to find this?

Easier to control and buy into his veil of secrecy which was just a house of cards. Have to give the guy credit I can’t believe he managed to stay GM for as long as he did. It’s a pretty incredible story when you think about it.

The most incredible story in hockey management history. Okposo said Dipietro went to Wang and said Snow was good at fantasy hockey in the back of the bus and that was the impetus for his 12 year tenure. Absolutely incredible.
Total assumption, but maybe they slide Bailey up to 1LW to showcase him? I don’t think it’s likely, but the isles have “some” talent in the system and the 2024 first rounder. I get the fear of depleting their future, but I guess for the right winger it might be worth the shot. - kindlyrick
With over 1000 games played Bailey is an open book by now
