I think it's fairly reasonable salary cap. |

Yuck...but then again this team pays Anders Lee $7 million and Josh Bailey $5mill...so I guess compared to those bad contracts its not completely awful. |

You gotta take Gross with a grain of salt. Not saying this won’t be the line up but he’s clueless.
Love this deal, fair for both team and player. |

Big scratch ... He will def help.. The Isles have a great goalie and solid D .. If he takes pressure off Barzal while still scoring at his pace.. It's a good deal.
The last 2 years might be yucky.. but his game has never been about banging. Should age pretty well. I give it a B+ |

Well let’s see how it works out. With Bailey and Barzal passing Horvat hopefully will get a lot of scoring chances and ultimately goals.
If it’s not working maybe Faushing or Holmstrom get a look there. Gotta keep the N,L,P line together. There were humming. |

Horvat is a shoot first player. I know everyone on here wants to play Barzal on the wing but it makes sense. |

I think in most cases Horvat will take the draw and then switch. My comment was 100% about the other wing selection |

Barzal should be the center ( more of a play maker than Horvat.) Lane said Horvat will take most of the face offs. Works for me and l'm sure Horvat is ok with it or he would not of signed long term. |

The problem is what do you do with him? Can’t play him on the Nelson line they are presently our best line. Can’t play him on Pageau’s line they are usually out against the other teams top line. Can’t play him on the fourth line either I don’t think I need to tell you why. So he kind of has to go there and hope for the best. I say that not liking it either. |

Without a doubt Horvat will take most draws and I would think he would be more of the C in the defensive zone giving Barzal more freedom to get some fast breaks out of the zone.
Going to be very interesting to see if Barzal and Bo can create some chemistry. |

If Wahlstrom was healthy his arse would be in the press box every night. Fair deal. I’m pumped it’s done. Hope they come out flying tomorrow night |

I would agree with that. I think they would move on from Bailey if they could right now. Though I’m sure they’d like to find a way to make him produce till then. Who knows what these lines will look like next week. They got him signed first step that had to happen to make this trade good. Looking forward to seeing how the team responds. Good to see some new blood on the team it was getting stale. |

Islanders have their 1-2 center combo locked up for the future. That’s the price to pay. They aren’t in terrible shape some contracts like bailey and martin will be gone soon to free up money. |

True. With Lee and Bailey making a combined 12 million this seems like a bargain. I wish Lou could move either player but I doubt there would ever be a taker on either. Lee is definitely untradeable |

Horvat will likely play center and Barzal becomes a playmaking wing |
