well i mean, i see you go after the awoken (it's a real word!) sometimes. and it's good because there needs to be balance. some people think being woke is realizing there are people and things that have been oppressed or whatever and trying to affect change and some people think being woke is being a crazy protester chaining themselves to a tree so it doesn't get cut down for a building to go there.

just like with anything if it gets taken too far we all have a right to complain about it.

yeah I get what you're saying and I agree, but still I don't consider myself "anti-woke" at all, the meaning of that word has just been completely ruined.

bah, it's all good man

I guess it's just a very current and "sensitive" subject that sadly most likely won't be solved any time soon... oh well.

i think the world will end long before there will ever be a solution.

everybody has to want a solution and too many people don't want one and too many of them like to make it their goal in life to make sure there never is one.

i like when people use BLM, antifa, and LQBTQ more than black people and gay people do and think everybody can't see right through them.

but there are whack jobs on both sides of anything. the smart people are always in the middle somewhere because.. well, because they're smart and they understand the nuance and that the truth is in there somewhere, not screaming and making a fool out of themselves on the extreme edges, rattling pots and pans and just anti-anything the other side says.

I know he was/is engaged in the community and was well liked as a team guy but as a hockey player, he should not be anywhere near the status of having his number retired.

it isn't like they can't recognize all of his involvement without retiring his jersey, but it makes me laugh that they put the bar that low in Ottawa loll

This is why teams create a "Hall of Fame" or ring of honour type thing. For guys who played a long time and are well liked but weren't good enough to go in the rafters

Yeah kinda got blind-sinded on the south shore as well, don't recall seeing much in the forecasts and this morning the roads were desastrous you could tell the snow remowers weren't on alert.

Yeah, same in Gatineau ... 12cm had fallen by 10:30 this morning and it's still going down hard.
