Farabee is 22 years old. - MJL
So are you suggesting because of his age, Farabee is off limits to trade. For example, Blake in LA has let it he known Brandt and Byfield are off limits under any trade proposal. |

It’s going to be hilarious to see this house of cards come crashing down around Torts when it happens.
These lies of him being some sort of hockey, and developmental wizard will become even better |

The Pens are in good position to make the playoffs. Make a run and the fan base won't be so sick of him allegedly. - MJL
Even if they get in, it’s Carolina or Boston. They will be out in 5 games tops. Hexy should be shown the door |

Pens have been horrible in the playoffs and playins, after their last playoff round win in 2018. |

I'm sure I'm Leight but I see that farabee is already tired of Torts...
The kid has neck surgery and Torts says he is basically using his injury as an excuse?!
Torts is already losing his charm in the locker room, huh?
I side with farabee, for what it's worth. Give the kid a season to heal and get his game back. I know he has basically sucked this year but did anybody with any common sense really expect bee to have his game back 100% after such a nasty injury?
I like Torts but this is the type of crap that every team he has ever coached has had complaints about.
God forbid we trade bee.... he will go somewhere else and light it up next season
This franchise is an absolute joke. The coach has more pull than the GM and the GM is flexing his balls all over everybody
I love the flyers but it's hard to give a rats ass for the last 2 seasons and I don't see any light at the end of this tunnel |

No I'm suggesting that the reasoning that you offered is not a reason to consider trading him

Ha ha, the Pens get speed bagged by the Oil tonight on home ice and the fans were chanting "Fire Hextall"! Misery loves company! So, who gets fired first? Hexy or Chuckles? Now it's easy to see why the Flyers have fallen so far. |

Most likely but that would be most likely for any team getting in as a wild card.

What happens to Hextall doesn’t mean anything to me but my question is, why should he be fired due to the current state of the Penguins? Crosby and Letang are 35 each in age. Malkin 36. Malkin and Letang were re-signed because that’s what the players wanted, that’s what their fans wanted. What was suppose to happen by bringing back these players to suck up all the air out of that franchise? Hextall made happen what everyone wanted, when in reality, you probably should have traded both of them, so both could make a big run elsewhere and the organization restocks itself to stay relevant. If Hextall gets fired, it’s probably because of what he was asked to do. |

Hextall is being criticized for what he has done with the support group.
They aren't happy that he resigned Carter and Kapanen....etc. Their bottom 6 and defense are not good, and that is what he is getting ripped for. It's kind of funny cause Hextall was such a live on the edge type of player, but as a GM he is a dullard. |

Well when you name the names he’s acquired, actually doing the opposite of what he was doing in Philadelphia. In Philly he was trading everyone away for picks and signing average bandaids to fill holes until the organization reached his vision. There was a time I wished he would have made a Jeff Carter (or a player who could really help) trade to improve us. |

There were other moves that he has made that have been discussed on the Pens blog that haven't worked out as well. It would appear that Hexy is skating on very thin ice in the Burgh. Could be that both the Caps and Pens miss the playoffs this year. The changing of the guard is upon us. |

Flyers could and should be doing what the Wild are doing. The more picks you have the better the chance of hitting one. The real money in those deals is close to free honestly. Basically two picks for free for the Wild. |

Good breakdown, Also traded away Marino who is having a really strong year for jersey and the guy they traded for has become an AHLer |

And to think we are still somehow worse than both and our time is not up next , really gives you a perspective on this organization |

The big fan criticism is the protecting of Jeff Carter in the expansion draft allowing Jarred McCann to go to the Kracken. Having a break out year with 26 goals. To be fair Hextall’s decision may go back to when he acquired Carter whom I beleive at the time didn’t have to accept going to Pittsburgh. Perhaps he was given assurances that he would be protected in the expansion draft? Unfortunately Father Time has caught up to Carter this season as most nights he seems to struggle now. |

That would take creativity. Fletch thought it was just too hard to make cap moves in order to sign Johnny Hockey who actually wanted to play in Philly. I don’t see Fletcher as that guy. I’m sure he’ll disappoint next week as well. Why break the trend. Why make changes when we are obviously such a good (frank)ing team. |

Its great to be a Flyers fan isn't it? While other teams make deals to get better, accumulate picks and/or free cap space, the Flyers just sit stagnant in the mud!! |

Settle down now ... don't you know the season is not over yet? The Flyers have to keep things exactly as they are so they can properly evaluate all the players they currently have, and they need all 82 games to do it. Otherwise it ruins the entire experiment! |

Do you think Ronald has done a good job in Pitt? How would you grade his performance?
If thy make a run it has very little to do with anything he has done. He has had a somewhat easy job and he has even messed that up. Gifted 3 HOF and cant even build a team around them.

Because he is the GM and has done next to nothing and is responsible for the current state. |
