I don't know if I'd say that. He can't do poop offensively, but the defensive value is there for sure. I think he's pretty close to locked in as a bottom six winger unless Carolina can find a way to unlock something else from him

I think it was a smart move even if he sits some nights. They gave up an unsigned player they seemingly had no interest in signing and will be a free agent in three months and nothing else. He'll be an RFA too and will probably take a pay cut.

should have just retired and not even signed for the caps, but maybe that saved his life with the caps finding his heart issue and all.
