Also do people really think Kane is just a rental? Almost willing to bet he is here for at least another 2 years |

The Kravtsov thing is a real head scratcher. Was he really that worthless to everyone? Thats really hard to believe. Why not Kravtsov and a 2nd to avoid the conditions? Did the Hawks really want no part of that?
Were just bystanders in all this, theres gotta be something far deeper going ok here that isnt talked about. - aecliptic
I thought the same thing. He is obviously a troubled individual and keeps threatening to go back to the KHL. Perhaps only a few places he said he would play, Vancouver must have been one of them. It is crazy to think some bottom feeders wouldn't want to take a chance on this kid at that price. |

I don't know the answer but Kane is going to be great for you guys. I know he's not young anymore, but neither was Marty St. Louis, and he was electric. Kane still has it and now that he's got something to play for again I'm excited for the Rangers. Glad he got where he wanted to go. |

I'll be at MSG tomorrow for Kane's debut. To say I'm excited is an understatement. The garden is going to be rocking |

Yea he was a big driving force in this trade. From everything I have been reading he always intended to retire and play his whole career in Chicago. It’s been tough on him to make this decision to leave. The fact that he only wanted the rangers just makes me believe they will find a way to resign him year end.
I know he is having a down year and may have lost a step but maybe it’s just me but you are a 14 year veteran used to playing in important games year in and year out and now you were stuck on a team clearly tanking in a rebuild with little talent around you. Yea he is human, might not be as easy to get up for each game and give it 110%. Really think the playoff push will motivate him again |

I would be more than happy to bring Kane back. If anything, I view Tarasenko as more of a rental than Kane. I just wonder how they will fit Kane in with all of the others who need new contracts. It's going to get interesting. But that's a problem to discuss after the season |

You guys completely fleeced Chicago.
Last year, Claude Giroux made it know that he ONLY wanted to play for the Panthers. And they Panthers still gave up a 1st round pick and a former first rounder (Owen Tippett) for him as a rental. I would have expected AT LEAST the same for Kane, especially since Philadelphia has the league's worst GM. |

Yea I don’t see anyway Tarasenko is back, he is still just 31 and can get another decent contract. Kane will get done unless he gets hurt and doesn’t think he can play anymore after this year |

Arizona made out nice too, got a 3rd round pick for taking on 25% of the cap. Surprised more teams weren’t willing to do that |

It is difficult to overstate just how bad the BlackHawks roster is this year. Had to have been exhausting and depressing for Kaner. I have full confidence that Broadway is going to be the perfect tonic. I haven't said this since 1994... Go Rangers!

Depends on how much he is looking for. He certainly would have offers that the rangers couldn't afford if he hits the open market. Rangers salary cap is looking tight even without the rfas re-signed |

Just saying from what I have been reading he is a calculated man who didn’t just make a last minute decision he wanted to come to the rangers. Been in the works for a decent amount of time. Don’t think he did all of this for 3 months and then is out. Time will tell but willing to bet he is back for at least one more year most likely 2 |

It would be hard to keep both him and Tarasenko. Rangers are smart to load up this year before the extensions to Miller and Laf kick in. They'd have to move Goodrow without retained salary unless Kane or Tarasenko will play for pocket change. |

He needs 242 points to pass Stan Mikita. Playing with Little Artie again is going to go a long way for him when he decides where he wants to be. 3-4 seasons with Panarin and he gets there. That's a big deal for him.

That is the exact move that I think will get done. Trying to find a buyer for Goody. I believe he has a 15 team no trade, so it does make things slightly more difficult.

I don’t see the Kravtsov trade as a throw away trade anymore. In the end it was more like a 4 team trade so they could afford and get Kane |

Especially if they can resign motte. Having him and Vesey on that 4th line makes Goodrow a little more available if they wanted to. Could always find another 4th line option over the summer |
