Im curious what the injury is with Lindgren.
Just googled, in order to qualify for LTIR he would have to miss atleast 10 games AND 24 days of the season. |

My buddy was over yesterday and we watched the hit from above and it sure looked like a dislocated or separated shoulder. Really hope he comes back soon. No space to make any moves has me worried for the playoffs. |

Concerned as to the toughness aspect - irishgerm
I wouldnt quite put us in that spot but, how tough was Colorado on their way to the cup? I get that being in the east is a bit of a different animal but i think the way this team was constructed with the kids being our 3rd line, having a whole lot of toughness is thrown out. The only way to get some sort of what people want is to put Kreider with Trochek making a more north-south checking line. |

What do you guys think your lines will look like now? It'd be fun if we met in the conference finals again |

Well I have to say that I am happy that this entire saga is now over for both the team and the fans alike. This has been a HUGE distraction to all and now everyone can finally move forward.
I am left to wonder about a few things though:
1) Why was Kravstov not part of the return to Arizona for the retention? I wrongly assumed that the deal was so one-sided in Vancouvers favor was because they were going to help us retain. Looking back on it --- we literally gave him away for a bag of pucks. Why not just place him on waivers?
2) Why the inclusion of Cooper Zech? What is the connection here? I mean, did Drury at any point say "Hey we're not doing this deal unless you include Zech!"
Just a real head-scratcher there.... |

Idk why cooper Zech but he put up 135 penalty minutes in 51 games in some league called the NAHL and he’s 5’9

The Kravtsov thing is a real head scratcher. Was he really that worthless to everyone? Thats really hard to believe. Why not Kravtsov and a 2nd to avoid the conditions? Did the Hawks really want no part of that?
Were just bystanders in all this, theres gotta be something far deeper going ok here that isnt talked about. |

Whoa, I wonder what else is in that trade package.
On another note, FINALLY a team in the west makes a splash.
Sick and tired of all these East teams stacking up. |

Poor Sam, he’d be a mess. - aecliptic He needs no help to be a mess. Gotta admit that his current state makes me pretty sad. Pre Center Ice in the 80's/90's had to watch a lot of Ranger games('cause F' the Isles and the Devs were Mickey Mouse) and loved Sam and JD doing games. JD was one of the best ever.

They were both so good together, but many here have mentioned that its long past time for Sam to go. Simply too many mistakes... |

The late Tues. night / early Wed. trade between Columbus and L.A. with Joonas Korpisalo & Gavrikov heading to L.A. in exchange for J. Quick is not finalized in terms of the other piece(s) involved. It obviously couldn't be an age 37 struggling at times J. Quick (3.50 GAA with a top 10 team), only heading to Columbus for alone, the better 9 years younger goalie in Korpisalo (3.17 GAA with the current worst NHL team), plus a top NHL defensive d'man in Gavrikov as initial reports only reveal. That would be ranked among the greatest heists of all time. I doubt J.D. would approve of his GM making that deal.
Elliotte Friedman tweeted about 1 hour ago "a 1st Rounder is also involved."
That certainly has to be heading to Columbus, if not also another asset or more of some nature. Other leaks have the trade also involving draft picks, though not mentioned what, nor to whom or to both.
Addendums:
(1) When the news began surfacing, Frank Seravalli of "The Daily Faceoff" initially tweeted about 1 hour prior to Friedman's:
"#LAKings have traded Jonathan Quick to #CBJ. He is part of a deal that will send back Joonas Korpisalo."
(2) About 1 hour later, Seravalli posted a second tweet:
"To say that Jonathan Quick is unhappy with the trade, I'm told, is "an understatement." The entire #LAKings team was a bit down after the game, a win, and you could see it in Anze Kopitar's face after a 4-goal night." |
