You must think per Trocheck's close in miss that McDavid's 52 goals came on just 52 shot attempts as well.

Trocheck has 16 points in the NYR last 13 games, (6-G & 10-A).
Zibby has the same 16 points, but the reverse with 10-G & 6-A.

Both only trail Panarin's 18 points during this 13 game stretch (7-G & 11-A), which included his 5 point game with 4-G & 1-A in their 6-2 win at Carolina.
So now you get it with Trocheck as far as his contributions which include his faceoff skills.

With Miller and Lindgren out, and Kane on his way, we have no cap space to call anyone up. Those 3 count against the cap, so we have to have a short bench.
