People are so pissed about this deal with Quick. I personally think he was there longer than he should have been. |

sad to see him go, but he was struggling.
The Kings needed to address the defensive issues and the goaltending issues.

I know all the news is about Quick, but why is no one talking about the absolute terrible return Columbus got back.
A 1st (or 2 2nds) for Korpisalo and Gavrikov. Plus realistically Quick is a cap dump so I guess Columbus wasn't getting much for either player from other teams.
Editi: Columbus also got a 3rd rounder. Still seems low for depth for a TDL. |

Gotta admit? This would be an outstanding "F U" to the Kings. Well-done. |

It's a good deal that had to be done. Especially with Quick wanting to play beyond this season, and that wasn't going to be in LA. LA was stuck between a rock and a hard place. They needed an upgrade at LD and in net. Quick was odd man out. His play has been unacceptable. And that's sad to even say.
No reason to trade a ton of assets to get out from petersons contract. Just buy him out in the off season. Copleys numbers aren't great either. But he's winning games while costing alot less. And this deal gives LA more cap room to add another player. |

Well-said.
Any you know who'd agree that Quick's play has been unacceptable? Jonathan Quick. |

Losing his starting spot didn't fire him up. Now we will see if being traded does. Us fans love him. But this was a good move. |

And thats all the Sens gave the Coyotes for Chychrun? Thats not good for Blake. |

What an ignorant move by Rob Blake, hopefully Quick lands somewhere else.
Traded a 1st, 3rd and did a real low one to a guy who backstopped you to two cups just to be a first round exit, good job. |

So just keep Quick and his .876 or w/e save percent and go into the sunset? Money had to go to make moves and improve this team. And Peterson is untradeable. Quick has been on the decline for over 4 years now. Its tough to see. But its a trade that needed to be made. |

I’m sure the yotes realized they played their hand too hard and rode it for too long and didn’t have much left from anyone they wanted to fleece. |

I might agree if Quick was at least a viable backup. He isn't. He's been awful this year. Quick would agree with that. Blake did the big boy thing, has taken (and will take ) the heat for this move, and did his job. Kudos to him. Someone has to be the executioner. |

Both players are UFAs and Gavrikov is said to be wanting to test the market. Could be the same for Korpisalo. |
