I quit moderating today. Most of you are good people but those who didn't follow the rules are (frank)ing toolbags to the umpteenth degree.
Adults that can't follow simple rules on the internet make me laugh because it isn't how they would treat co-workers. Or you know, low key physically threaten someone because you got banned off a site.
What the best part is? You talk poop about the site but can't stay the (frank) away. It's incredibly sad.
MJL, you're an okay person but learn to admit when you're wrong. You move goal posts and can't concede a point on the (frank)ing internet about a hockey team. I don't get it. I legit don't...you aren't going to change these people's minds so why keep doing it? You must just enjoy it.
JD250, you must enjoy going at it with MJL all day because I can't see why you'd entertain that constant droning. - Aaron_85
congrats, please be careful on personal insults or we will have to put you into time out.

If Allison is better now and can play the rest of the season, he will have played 60 games. It would be no doubt a career high. What if he trains up and can surpass it next year? He still has a very inexpensive year left on his contract.
They can’t be stupid about this. He is has better production even missing time than the forwards in his role for the last several years, and he is a plus player on a bad team…none of those comparisons were plus players on our bad teams.
It isn’t as big of a deal as Torts makes it sound, and it is foolish to not try him next season.

I like how he low-key threatened Allison's spot on the roster next season if he can't stay healthy lol...

I found it a little weird actually. Talk about pressure. I'm sure Allison doesn't get hurt on purpose. (maybe he does, he seems like a bit of an eccentric dude..
)
So does Allison start hiding injuries and trying to play through things? Keeping things from the trainers?

it's just his lack of filter. But, is true so what can you do.
edit- he's probably just baffled about it and doesn't know what to do. |

Made the kid cut his hair for no good reason, has to listen to sporadic criticism of his game throughout the year, then Torts dedicates an entire presser to "he's always hurt"... Allison's probably like wtf did I do to this guy?

It’s dumb to say it over and over this way. Maybe the horse kicked Torts in the head again and too hard this time.

It was overkill IMO. Just puts a target on him from the media, fans. Now he WILL be hiding injuries, trying to play hurt, etc.
IMO you keep that opinion in house. Between coach and player. Sure, everyone knows he is always hurt, but you don't make your feelings as a coach public on something like that.

Torts better expect feedback for that too. It’s not like the Flyers have other forwards who have missed more time during Torts first year or anything.

You’re right. Biron just the radio personality who played for Sabres and interviews fo and players had no connection to the hockey ops. I mean literally talks to them all the time. Equals no connection. Literally does tv from within the arena. Surely has no connection with team what’s so ever.
Best friends with briere. Surely they NEVER talk hockey. Especially about teams they BOTH played for. Or about players past and present.
Surely they talk about wine and cheese combos.
You’re obtuse. Plain and simple. - SMS4016
Interviewing players and GM's is not having a connection to hockey ops. If that was true that would mean that Taryn Hatcher and Ashlyn Sullivan have a connection to the Flyers hockey ops. Yes, I need to explain this to you but I'm obtuse.
Briere has been the GM for a week. He's not even talking to other teams yet for prospective trades. There's going to be a bunch of internal meetings and trade talks will start after the season leading up to the draft. If you want to think that he's tipping his hand to his buddy Biron about his plans for the future, that's your perogative. |

We just get a free pick if we don’t sign him lol? - ClaudeFather
Apparently it will be the 19th pick in the second round of this draft. That is according to a quick Google search I did. This also assumes the Flyers do not sign him. |

he is correct Coots will be the 2C, they will not have a 1c, which is better than this season, since they don't have a 1 or 2C. When he is right he is right, have to give it to him. - wcorvette
It's certainly a question mark if he can come back full strength and be the player he was before the injury. If he can, he's a 1C. If he can't then he won't be. |
