I'd be curious on your take Bill. The team is out of the playoffs. The GM was fired. What kind of thoughts do the players have now? Are they trying to just make it to the end of the season? I presume some are playing for contracts/careers with the young guys so they may be taking it more seriously. It's an honest question and maybe you've got some insight being closer to the team than I'll ever be. - Aaron_85
In my opinion, it should be their experiment and training time. The results don't matter anymore, so it's like a pre-season/ skirmishes time right now. Good opportunity for coaches to experiment with lines and situations. Good time to hon in on and practice , PP, and EN situations |

That kid is in possession of the most punchable face I’ve ever seen. - Shrike
It's pretty punchable, but TDA is current record holder for this.

Glad it was empty. - MBFlyerfan
Really. When I read this I was like is that not attempted murder? Kids, immature kids do stupid things. Talk about throwing away a privilege. |

Currently 5th-overall. The hilariously unintentional tank continues.

Ha! How many NHL ready studs from day 1 are in this draft? Answer better not be 2.

He's saying that he's glad it was empty, so someone didn't get hurt. He is not condoning the action, nor is he dismissing how disgusting the action was in any way. Nor dismissing how it has impacted the victim. He is saying he is glad someone did not get physically hurt. - MJL
Saying that anything about that little video made you glad is the first step in letting Carson Briere off the hook.

Great night on the scoreboard. Jackets and Sharks even went to overtime. Chicago beating Boston? Montreal winning?
Great night. - therabbi[/img]

Going into the video based off of the headline, you can be glad there isn’t someone in it lol. College kid being an idiot, he needs to smarten up. |

It didn't take Briere long to match Fletcher. Ranks right up there with "we're the 5th most improved team in the league". - MJL
Hey .. Briere is proud of this players .. and honestly if they keep losing like this, I will be equally proud! |

It is laughable that you think his reply of being glad that nobody was hurt deserves criticism. The quotes you invented was not what he said.

End of the year, lot of division opponents, automatically have a tougher schedule than some of the teams out west, mainly Arizona. Anaheim is comically bad so can’t see them catching us. Last two games of the year are verse Chicago and Colombus 🫣 |

Fewest Goals For in the league : Blackhawks with 171.
2nd Fewest Goals For in the league : Flyers with 172.
It took all the Flyers scouts, draft picks, cap space, grit, determination, and dedication to the 200 ft game but the Flyers finally built a team to match the Blackhawks.

yeah. arizona and habs schedule doesn't seem tough, but still. we are now in a better position. do everything to keep it. don't care. if we are winning you pull your goalie to practice 6 v 5

Probably 3. But Flyers shouldn't be caring if the guy they pick can play right away. |

C'mon now, they work hard and they're a lot of fun to watch. Led by a coach who should be the Jack Adams award winner, hands down. |

Danny boys’ son and that other kid are lucky no one was coming up the stairs!! Having special needs people in my life really makes this especially hard to see. Can’t pass it off as drunk behavior either because you can see them discuss it before it happens. It’s unfortunate that Carson didn’t learn from his “ too much partying “ ways. Hopefully daddy doesn’t bail him out! |

I don't think I'm being hostile. The poster made a very human sentiment of being glad that a person was not in the wheelchair when it was pushed down the steps and he's getting criticized for that. |

Agree with that, but obviously you want the best player possible. The big question is what draft position do they need not to screw up the pick? Probably top 3, so I'm sure they will pick 4th and get a stiff.

Wouldn't matter if it was drunk behavior. It's unacceptable behavior. |

There's more hostility in here than a Leafs thread....is that possible?
