Thanks Jeremy, nice blog.
Exciting game, Wings were ahead, lost the lead by 2, came back and tied it, trailed by 2 again and came back and tied it again! Good fight in this team! They should be able to attract some quality free agents this summer.

Nice to see Raymond get to 100 pts in his second year. Only Howe and Yzerman did it faster. That's pretty good company as those guys turned out to be pretty good hockey players. He was hot and cold this year. He'd go a few games with points, then nothing for 3 or 4. If he can get some more consistency, he's going to be a point per game player.

Seider and Edvinsson are going to be fun to watch for years to come. I really hope they can get some draft luck this year and get a top 5. There are some studs in this draft.

I like the point about Raymond. We have such young players in positions that just a few years ago wasn’t going to happen. He got through a season where he’s now been scouted and players went after him. My hope is that he hangs out with Perron. DP uses body language to back defenders off. There are so few players that can create space without doing more than that. Raymond, with even a little time and space, is a special player. Regardless of where we land, having Yzerman, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Kronwall, plus the other scouts it feels like they’re going to find someone. I almost look forward to rounds 2-5 more than round 1. That’s where you see who worked on what without a lot of input from “central scouting”. I would pay money (if I thought I had enough) just to sit and listen to those pre draft meetings. Fly on the wall, gag order, whatever. What a treat to have these hockey minds collaborating
