Remember how last week I was throwing up blood, worried about whether or not the Leafs could hold on to home ice advantage vs. the Lightning?

As of this morning, we are 13 points above them in the standings.

That's crazy town.

Over the last 10 games, only Washington, Columbus, Chicago, Arizona and Anaheim have worse records than Tampa.

I might actually pick the Leafs in the first round this year, first time in forever that I would.

I haven't had a wrong prediction about the Leafs in the playoffs in 20 years. Trust me on this.

I wasn't talking about you, or anyone on here, when I said some people. I actually completely forgot that we talked about it on here. I was talking about people on Twitter. My bad if it felt like I was going at you with that.

Bo can absolutely be selfish, I won't even try to deny that. I also think the look of his face makes him just seem more self absorbed.

I have absolutely no problem with players ignoring that man, though. Because I think they're legit running a 100% rate when they do. I've not see a single guy get thrown out while running through a stop sign from him in the past few years.

Bolded- I honestly wouldn't hate that. I feel like that could also work as a feint to the fielders.

All good and fully agree "Bo Knows Mirrors and loves them more than anyone".

I played baseball my whole life, actual baseball until I was 19 and so maybe it's why I feel so strongly about the base coaches job and the runner relying on them. I was always taught/coached that as a runner you are very rarely looking to see where the ball is and if you should be running or not, you should be looking at the base coach to tell you because it's their job.

The reasoning given to me (which kinda' makes sense) is coming down the line out of the box the base coach is in your line of sight so you don't really have to 'look around' which can slow you down or cause you to take a less direct path to the next base / not cut the corner sharp enough and arc too far towards the outfield.

Same for rounding 2nd - you pick up the 3rd base coach and rely on them to tell you to stay or come to 3rd, stand up or slide or round the bag and head home.

All that being said the base coach needs to be good at knowing players arms and making reads and if Rivera sucks at 1 or both those things they need to move him off the 3rd base coaching spot for sure.

When I played running through a stop sign or not dropping a bunt when told to = riding the pine!

I guess it's a Jays issue to address or not address at all as they see fit but I'll be pissed at any player who runs through the stop sign and gets cut down at the plate always.

Last night is a good example of why a GOOD 3rd base coach is critical - Bo can't be running to 3rd and look back to see if that fielder played the ball clean or even if it got to him in a hurry (at least not effectively as you want him looking where he is running).

Anyhow that was a great home opener, I wish I had been there. I was downtown yesterday for work and there was a buzz in the air and lost of people wandering around in Jays gear - fun times and such a nice change from the pandemic years.

It's almost like playoff hockey is different than regular season hockey. 🤷

My girlfriend sent our kids to school this morning with a full winter gear.

But that's ok, I had spring clothes in the car so they changed before making it there.

Of course, they'll have to change back when they return otherwise we're screwed!

Kyle Wellwood was just an artist before his time!

Tried the between the legs goal that so many seem to think that Rat Tkachuk from Florida invented but poor Kyle was yelled at and told this isn't the all star game stop doing that poop tubby boy!

"There's still a small chilly wind, they might get cold".

And just to be clear, they didn't have snow pants on.... they had those smaller, spring pants over the regular pants.
