It cant rain all the time, theyve gotta have some success at some time.

Any team in any sport losing in the first round 7 times in a row is not a great bet. Particularly when they were 1 shot away from winning against both the Habs and Tampa for long stretches of sudden death.

My girlfriend sent our kids to school this morning with a full winter gear.

But that's ok, I had spring clothes in the car so they changed before making it there.

Of course, they'll have to change back when they return otherwise we're screwed!

That’s what I have to do with my golf clothes.

No hunny I was not golfing today. See I’m still in my work clothes.

I went with some friends. We were in right field on the first base line. Aside from not being as impressed by the changes as I thought I would - really it's not that stark of a contrast from last year - the atmosphere was good and the place was _packed_. They gave out those RFID LED wrist bands that you'll typically see at concerts - and it was a cool effect at times, although there were very few opportunities with the lighting for it to be noticeably effective.

It was an excellent game to be at - the Kiermaier catch, the homers - and my friend's nephew (Zach Pop) pitched well, too.

From the cameras showing around, it looked like a whole lot of people were spending the game sitting at the new bar places.

You check them out?

I love how excited and happy keirmaier is to be playing in Toronto.
Extend him.

- Fakepartofme

He's legit loving that the crowd is actually a crowd.

He makes that catch in Tampa and 56 people are ringing a tiny annoying bell and that's it.

I'm in the same boat as you. I was also a Baseball guy but I stopped at around 16 when I fell in love with Hockey (my grandpa was pissed at me for a very long time for not sticking with Baseball ). And I fully understand that from a ball players point of view. I still see it as these guys have no faith in him, at all. Which is why I'm shocked that they kept him on when most players can't/don't trust his judgement (the new guys do, though. Since they have no reason not to so far).

I honestly think it's similar to Montoyo. Rivera seems like a really good dude and they don't want to poopcan him. They only finally fired Montoyo when it got well passed the point that they HAD to (I personally would've done it a looong time before they did). The good news for Rivera is that he's not a manager, so rearranging him in the clubhouse could easily be an option.

Yeah, home opener was awesome. Kinda scared that the new dimensions are gonna be bad for half of our rotation, though.

- GreatGigInTheSky

Not for nothing, but Blair and Barker (arguably the best radio show on) brought up how poorly Rivera preformed last night. And they mentioned multiple instances.

The were used well during the pregame ceremonies (Blue / White or Red for Jays' stuff, HoF introductions for McGriff, recognition of the Jays' award winners from last year; Red for the anthems (which was my least favourite part of the night, including traffic!), and then they would flash after homeruns - but it was less noticeable because the park lighting is so bright - and they went off again with the blue & white when the game was done.

My first experience with them was when we took our kids to see Shawn Mendes at the ACC - and I was pretty impressed with how they knew your section number to create stadium lighting effects. It's a very clever and relatively simple idea that has probably made someone very wealthy.

I saw the Cello only at first and thought we'd get a cool instrumental but then I saw the singers. Muted that really quickly after they started.

I don't understand how Zombie by The Cranberries still has so much traction with anyone, particularly middle aged men who seem to really enjoy playing it. I just don't understand.

Thanks for letting me share.

Not really. It was insanely busy. With all of the new inclusions - and like a small little band playing, and new bars and a new "diverse" food place, and stairs/escalators all smushed into that centre field area, there's less corridor space available and more people there than ever. It was really unpleasant to try and maneuver through. I went into that mosh pit once, and then extricated myself as quickly as I entered.

I don't understand how England can produce the best music and Ireland foists such utter garbage on the world as The Cranberries and U2.

I guess Thin Lizzy is a great Irish band. A million trillion times better than U2.
