I'm going to the game next Sunday - I told my cheap ass buddies we are buying actual seats because they all wanted to buy the $20 "Outfield District" ticket which allows you to go into all the new areas & the West Jet flight deck.

Of all these areas very few have actual seats (the new "bleachers" do but they looked jammed last night) and I am not interested is ending up standing 3 deep and not be able to see the game or even worse to be standing at a bar inside the stadium watching the game on TV. Why would I pay $20 to do that vs just watch it at home or at a bar I can walk into for free?

I mean for $43 we got seats 3 rows up in the 200's beside the West Jet Flight deck - we can go look at the new areas and see how they are and wander back to our actual seats if they are stupid busy.

I think the $20 ticket on a busy game day / weekend are like general admission / pit seats at a concert. You have to be some of the first in the door and run to secure your spot and then not dare leave - I'll pass on that action just to save $20. lol

I went to a bunch of games the year the dome opened. I think baseball is better at home on the tv. It’s a mindnumbingly boring sport to watch live. Late in the game and the pitching coach walks in slow motion out to the mound, talks to the pitcher for a few minutes, makes the call to the bullpen, the new pitcher jogs as slow as he can to the mound, does a slow warm up, faces one hitter, the next batter up is a lefty, start whole process over again.

Me looking at watch and thinking holy crap I have to get up for work tomorrow. I can understand why Americans like it because it’s slow like they are, hockey is way too fast for them.

Hmmm, not so sure.

My neighbors play some middle east music with female vocals at night sometimes and if you have ever drank a beer and smoke some cheeb at night staring at the moonlight thru the silhouette of a palm tree with that music playing, it's ethereal and magic.
