I see you're simply cherry picking a single stat for your personal narrative. If you want to take the advanced stats angle then show them all. Samsonov beats out Vasi in every category.

But as you've said at the end of your post, you've hedged by stating the stats don't matter in a 7 game series. So the whole thing is moot. Nothing but "the eye" test is valid here then and Samsonov has looked better than Vasi and he's not looked so good as of late.

Like are you going to use stats or toss them away as I said earlier? Pick one. It's fine for whatever you decide.

Doesn’t that link you provided put Vas #6 overall and Sam #10 overall? Why does me using a single better metric be cherry picking for a narrative and you using two lesser metrics not be cherry picking for a narrative?

My original post had no stats in it. You brought in the irrelevant stat of Samsonov posting a .912 against the Panthers last year. I don’t have a narrative or horse in this. I was just making observations that didn’t line up with your sweep of TB narrative.

I don't understand fans of teams who have made the playoffs and are actually good and NOT wanting to cheer for them to win the whole thing. A sad life they live that they can't have fun cheering for pro sports. I mean it's not really fun going "Well...we can hope for 1 series win but after that, I'm not allowed to be excited anymore. I have to predict they lose so I can win arguments for being right on the internet!"

FYI, even if you predict the right winner of a series it doesn't change your life.

This I’ll agree with you on. The Bettman hates Canadian team narrative is hysterical though when in reference to the officiating. It sucks for every team. I’m sure I’ll hate it even more after these playoffs.

Over it especially knowing that since he made the switch 5 years ago the Islanders made the conference finals twice and the Leafs still never got out of the first round. He has been paid only 55 million so far lol. And he is a great leader as far as you believe.
