Eakins a hero for the TANK lovers. My BuZztron Master Series, had Burke & Hextall fired even with entering the playoffs. |

Buzztron is going to hurt a lot of feelings if you're going to tell all these leafies that they're going to get eliminated by Connor McDavid wearing an Oilers jersey. |

Anyone that thinks the Leafs lose to Tampa this year is an absolute idiot. Tampa is nowhere near the team they were last year, and the Leafs improved. We just beat them with our third-string goalie and Matthews, Marner, and Gio resting.
We'll see ya in the next round, take that to the bank. |

I would imagine that if the Leafs and the Oilers meet in the finals, McDavid would demand a trade to play for the Leafs, since winning the Stanley Cup with Toronto would mean so much more to him that winning with Edmonton. |

Playoffs is all goaltending and defence. Leafs out in first round again, unless Vasilevsky is injured. All the pressure is on the Leafs… |

It may not be the slam dunk you think it is. TB is a proven winner. They know the regular season is all about making the playoffs and preparing for a long run. Vasilevsky has been a little off but he always comes up big in the playoffs. Samsonov been good but doesn’t have the track record of Vasilevsky. The Leafs don’t have anyone as good as Hedman and Sergachev on the back end. TB always seems to have a role player or two that play above expectations in the playoffs.

The vasilevsky that got utterly smashed by the leafs last year in the playoffs? That 3.04 GAA and .897 SV% sure came up big. I think it's just easy for people to bet on the "proven winner". Same as the other guy who has them in the finals for a 4th straight year.
Samsonov had a 2.97 GAA and .912 in 5 games in the playoffs last year with an arguably weaker team than the leafs have this year. You don't get a track record without playing the games so again it's just easy to pick on the known factor.
Hedman and Sergachev can't play against all of Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander and ROR. It's just not possible. Leafs in 4 (yes I'm drinking the kool aid by the gallon)

I think you're being generous to Tampa and less generous to the leafs. If this were any other team but the leafs, people would have them clearly winning.

With the exception of Boston vs. Florida, I wouldn't give the "clearly winning" tag to any team this playoffs. |
