Tough way to play but I guess the one benefit of every player on the team playing the same way is that when injuries do happen you can just plug another guy in and keep rolling

They are always a tough team to beat at home. I remember last year's playoffs when the Canes downed Boston in 7. Each team won just the home games. My guess is they wrap this one up at home and they get their rest.

The refs have sucked but gimme a (frank)in break. The Isles keep taking dumb as poop penalties all over the ice. Not going to win anything that way.

Maybe if you're Matt Martin you shouldn't hit a guy away from the puck after the horn goes. Just a thought.

100%. Islanders came out flying for the first five mins. They stopped playing after that ridiculous goalie interference call and 5 on 3. The officiating was horrible. Wes McCauley has been destroying the playoffs for years. This is nothing new. With that said the loss is 100% on the islanders. Every team deals with terrible officiating. We’ve had quite a bit of it this series but you have to play through it. The islanders folded up their tents and sulked through 55 mins of hockey. That’s why they lost. Period.

Agreed. Their PP is abysmal. Has been all season. Canes are playing short handed due to injuries and are still winning. Kudos to them. Islanders have a bunch of under performers not putting in a full effort while looking for excuses. They couldn’t do anything with the PP even if they got the calls.
