Bill, not sure why you feed into the Frost verse Tippett narrative. Two different players at different positions. Frost ended up having a very positive season, good to see, hope it starts from game 1 next year. |

Even if the Flyers "lose" the lottery, this draft is very deep. I really hope the Flyers can find a way to get back in the 1st rd this year by trading a roster player. |

An AHL player like Frost leading an NHL team in ES points over an 82 game season is proving very difficult for certain people to cope with. |

A 2023 2nd rounder would be a good start. They have zero this year or next thanks to the GM that was only fired AFTER the trade deadline.

Next step is hiring a President of Hockey Operations who won't get to pick his GM or coach. |

Briere can't be fired from GM so fast he's been trained and waiting for this |

I'm not feeding into it. I'm saying all Flyers players are in the same boat, and that Frost's breakout wasn't just "the last few weeks" of the season. It stretched back to early December. |

Bill Meltzer: Quick Hits: Zamula, RFAs, Fedotov, and more - bmeltzer
1. Bill what side do they see Zamula playing? As it stands today i do not see him in the top 6 to start the season.
2. Do you see Tony D being a Flyers come October?
3. Any free agents to be you think the flyers may pursue?
4. Any college or euro free agents the flyers like or will look to sign?

I'm not sure in Hilferty's organizational vision, the President has that kind of authority anyway. Maybe the Flyers job description for President is the reason for shall we say is the rather deliberate process to fill the position. Scott needed to be replaced no doubt. Hilferty's start has been a little bumpy to start.

It has not been an encouraging start for Hilferty to say the least. |

Lemeiux played fine in his role here. But bill said he doesn’t see him being resigned. If he doesn’t stay why on earth would they keep bellows. |

Might as well give Milbury and Pierre a call too while they're at it.

This coincided with when the player started to get more ice time and more suitable linemates to the type of game he has to play to succeed.
How to say Tortorella didn't put Frost in the best position to succeed early in the season without saying it. A lot of the good that happened this season comes down to Torts being forced to play the young players extended minutes and Hart having a rebound year. I haven't seen any of the Tortorella magic that I'm told happened.
I would love to know what went on in the interview before he got hired because from the start Tortorella acted like a man trying to get fired with a $16 mill severance package. |

Maybe he’s not interested in being president of a team where he has no say on who the GM and coach will be |

There is also a false narrative out there that says “rebuilds don’t work.” And yet, only one of the last 8 Stanley Cup winners didn’t feature a #1 overall pick. It goes back even further if you add #2 overall picks. And, the Blues had a #3 and a #4 overall pick on the roster. |
