Roy will want a lot of say in player decisions, so he is a tough sell for a lot of big market teams that have built out a larger management structure.

Easier sell on a team with a slimmer management team, likely smaller market.

As for Hynes, the issue of Drury potentially wanting a prior relationship with the coaching candidate so he's more "relatable" shouldn't be a factor. It's Drury's job to find the coach who's the right fit for the team, not to make his own job easier. As for Laviolette, in his last 2 stops he's looked like he was already semi-retired. I don't think he has it in him to do the job.

Hynes, MacLean, Capuano all reside in that lane for me. Guy Bocuher looks like a hitman and thus also makes me want him as the HC, knowing full well he's not very good.
