No one is taking Peterson. The cap hit this year on a buyout, according to Cap Friendly, is 5.167mm. The remaining 3 year cap hit on a buyout isn't bad. But the first year is a killer. Might be worth it to stash him in the minors again for a reduced cap hit, and then buy him out next year. At least with the AHL option, you can hope he rebounds although that hope is fading fast.
Thinking Durzi and Walker might have some value, but not much. Spence and Tobi are next men up, with Clarke arriving sooner rather than later. Signing Gavrikov would be nice and has become a priority as the left side is super thin for the second year in a row.
I'm not sweating the forward situation at all. |

I don't think it would be impossible to move Petersen, I think it just depends what the Kings are willing to give up to do it. I see moving Arvidsson and getting assets back as much more likely than moving Petersen with assets attached, but I think it's still an option.
I'd bet Durzi would net a good return based on age and production, I just don't think that move makes sense quite yet. For $1.7M, he's providing good value for his contract and to me, it's probably a 2024 move when his contract expires and Clarke and/or Spence have gotten into more NHL games.
Agreed though that extending Gavrikov should be a priority. There aren't many comparable free agents that could slot into the left side of a top-four. |

Pettersen (1/2 retained) + Durzi for a 7th. They use Pete as a BU and utilize Durzi as at least a 3rd pairing. If Pete is terrible, it is off to the minors and a buyout next year. Detroit, Chicago, Whinny, or Anaheim could do such a deal. |

As long as we are getting 1st's and good prospects i am on board with trading anyone. we wont be competing for 5 years at least so most of our current players will be too old once the younger guys develop. |

I can't imagine any scenario the Kings trade Clarke which was the rumored stumbling block in the Chychrun deal. I mean Gretzky was traded twice so anyone is tradeable but I just don't see that scenario happening as I think at least the Kings are hoping Clarke is the heir apparent to Doughty. |

Agreed - to me, there's almost no realistic circumstance where it makes sense to deal Clarke. |

Iaffalo, Walker, Durzi and Petterson must be moved. Many of us like Iaffalo. But his role is now redundant with Moore. Id rather lose Arvidsson to Free agengy next season. We must also hope for a bigger bump in the cap.
Clarke isnt being moved. Hes DD's replacement. Granted he actually performs to a lvl of a #1 dman. Moving Faber all but set that in motion. We really need some young players to step up. Gabe really showed hes got it. But can he stay healthy is the issue with him. |

LA needs Gavrikov more than a Provorov. |

You guys think Durzi could be traded to Canucks for rights to Vitali Kravstov? |

No. What does that do for LA. Kravstov is a player who cant make the Canucks roster. And is now signed in the KHL. |

I am not sure if there is an NHL team that would trade for his rights. When the going gets tough for him, he picks up his puck and goes home (Russia)). If he truly wants to play in the NHL, then he should stick it out and play in the AHL if he cant crack an NHL roster.
That being said, i might consider trading Cal Petersen for the rights to Kravstov. |

Kings already filled the quota for the "once in a decade NYR first round castoff reclamation project" with Lias. Come back in the 2030's. |

Ben Shelley... when can we expect an announcement regarding an Arvidsson trade?
You got Sean Walker and Cal Petersen correct, and both in the same trade!
