Yea hed be on the 3rd line, but there are younger guys out there. Id really love us to get Chris Fischer. Ross Colton would be an amazing pick up as well... as would Tanner Jeannot, but Tampa aint getting back what they paid for him.

If we conservatively sign miller for $4m AAV, laf for $2.1m, and trade goodrow for nothing, we’d have $9.3m to sign or call up:

4 forwards (not including extra forwards)
1 defenseman to play 3rd pair ld
1 backup goalie

We can’t really do much of anything without big time moves

Im not sure if he has, Ive always had high hopes for him because he had a very similar juniors path as Schneider. I dont know about Jones, having a small, non-contact, puck moving defenseman on your 3rd pair just doesnt seem benefitial. Having him as our 3LD means theres no flexibility on the PK or defensive situations and Miller/Lindgren will have to eat all those minutes.

I think Othmann and Cuylle will at some point will be a part of this team next year. Putting them on the 4th line would be a waste, so maybe they rotate on the 3rd line and move up incase of injuries. If they want Cuylles presence in the lineup I could see him being on the 4th line to keep him in the lineup and moving up for injuries.

Robertson would have to have a hell of a camp to win that job

he didnt play in playoffs, actuallly didnt play in any games after mid March

I havent been able to find out what his injury was

Regardless of wants and desires, what do you think the likelihood of us actually trading Goodrow are? I think just based on straight pride, Drury cant do it because its just another blunder to tack onto the many that have happened.

Vesey has shown a capacity to play good quality hockey, I could see him being the 3RW. We resign Motte on the cheap and have a 4th of Cuylle, Goodrow, Motte.

It won't happen, but what would be a fair return for Fox? He's obviously a huge talent, but I just don't see him being a guy who can lead NYR to a Cup. He could bring a huge return.. Just thinking outside the box. Don't shiiiit on me too much for asking
