Thanks for the new blog Jan. I've gotten into with multiple people on this blog, about various issue. Backed down on some, entrenched in others. The only I will never let go is that Chris Drury is bad for this franchise. (As is James Dolan.). It's a franchise full of yes men with the wrong kind of processes in place.

Maybe its Knoblauch. We can only hope.

Heres another thing I dont understand. If Patrick Roy was never a consideration for the position, why wait until the Memorial Cup ends to say “Roy is not apart of our coaching search”?

To me both lav and Hynes don’t work.Having said that if they hire Hynes I’ll stop watching and I’ve been a ranger fan since 1968!

lol i have a lefebrve stick from a game in 99, or 00 idk i can't remember.

Well yea hiring Hynes is a huge step backwards from Gallant, just makes zero sense. Lavy is such a wet noodle hiring that is basically on par with Gallant. Just makes no sense to fire Gallant if this is the best Drury can do. Has to be a 3rd option that he is keeping as a secret

Laviolette is way better option than Powder is. Hynes is one weird lookin dude maybe the secret man crush Drury has is Keefe.

If its not Roy, then give me KK. Ive also spoken about Malhotra in the past as a new face I wouldnt mind giving a chance to.

I guess Roy was my first choice. I do like Boudreaus personality, but he hasn’t even been mentioned in rumors so I don’t see it. But I’d be cool with Lavy. I knew this would happen tho, Gg gets fired and the options are limited so in some ways it could backfire. Now the team has to start all over again learning from a new coach/systems/relationships. You can’t snap your fingers and get a good coach🤷🏻‍♂️

I just think a proven HC is the way to go right now (so if it Hynes for instance that’s fine). I’d rather him than a “rookie” HC sorta speak. It’s a win now team, not a team that needs a coach learning at the NHL level as he goes type of thing.

With all that said. I get why GG was fired because you can’t fire or trade all the players. It was an extremely bitter end to the season so the chopping block needed someone on it.

Drury is the problem. He’s a bad GM. Plain and simple.
