osti je suis tanné de cette bs. qui chiale contre RHP? qui chiale contre Montembeault? qui chiale contre Matheson?

on the other hand, we are plenty whining againts Hoffman, Armia, Drouin (omg he's french!!), Petry....

work hard and you won't have any problem. french or english, local or not.

ca va faire la bs Karine.

Where the prospective player was born should not be a variable in the equation of evaluation.....so draft Michkov!

Same here.

We all want successful/star local players on the Habs. It just makes sense.

But if the player ends up being terrible or not worth his contract, what's the point?

I really hope we find a way to add Dubois, I feel like he'd thrive with the team moving forward.

it shouldn't be unless the origin of the player brings additional risks associated with him coming over. Habs will do their due diligence on him, they have contacts with SKA.

Is he the profile of player they are looking for?We don't know. What other moves have they planned that could impact their draft target, we don't know.

Should be a fun next 20-30 days with trades, draft and UFA season.

8.25M/yr x 8, question is what will the trade look like. Roomer is Wpg wants young good players in a trade.

I was pulling the Quebecois kids, one of which I am, about the Habs roster.

I am against drafting Michkov because of the unknowns about when he could get here. As such, it looks like Leonard will get the call....unless SJ takes Michkov.

After almost six years, today is my last day at The Athletic. At least I know it’s got nothing to do with the quality of my work. Thanks to the readers and thanks to those who listened to The Athletic Support podcast. It's been a lot of fun.

that's the way I see it, I think the Habs won't gamble on Michkov, they prefer Smith but if he is gone as expected, Leonard it is.

Reinbacher.....well if they trade for Dubois....he might be their guy, they need a top 4 RHD that plays well on both ends and he should be ready to make the jump in 2024, he is mature physically.

I would be surprised to hear SJ taking Michkov, but it is possible, he is very talented.

I like the Reinbacher pick, and having a really strong top four D can get you to the Cup, as VGK's are showing. I watch a ton of Jr hockey, and there is plenty to like about Mailloux's game, but plenty to still develop before he might be NHL ready. Would Reinbacher get to NHL before Mailloux, or arrive same time? Habs have plenty of LD, it is those RD that are needed.

No PLD trade.....if PLD wants to be Hab, let him come in FA.

Give me Leonard.....he will bring scoring as well as a fiesty gritty effort that Habs do not have. Sorta like the Tkachuk effort, if not as good as him.

Damn, really liked Godin on The Athletic.

Wonder if someone else will replace him with Arpon.

With Brisson negociating an 8 year deal somewhere, he won't make it to FA.

He's either traded to the Habs or he won't be there.

We don't know. Might be contract negotiation, he was their main guy on the French side.
