That's the problem with the ridiculous NMC part of contracts. NO one should get a Full NMC. The max should be a 15 team no trade list. Full NMC's ALWAYS bite the team in the ass. Will GMs ever learn!!!?
- rrentz

Yea it’s annoying. The problem is, it’s the power the players have to pick where they want to go. Don’t know how GMs get around it if they want to attract top talent

I don't think this group of players can play the type of game necessary to win a cup. Its got nothing to do with elevating their game, they don't have that game
- OLDSCHOOL#6

Yea they need to make some moves to take the next step. Just don’t know how with no cap space and not able to move players

Way too one dimensional.

Fox
Panarin
Zib
Cytil
etc....Have no ability to play the game needed to win the Cup....Hate to say it, but Kreider doesn't either. He is fast, strong, and can hit, BUT he doesn't do it. He's become a PP puck deflecting specialist.

Well...then its the GMs responsibility to his team's future to offer a 15 team NMC, and say take it or leave it. NYR will have NO problem attracting top talent

I agree, and probably since I’ve been on this board I’ve been saying we need different “types” of players. Enough with these soft east west guys. Fun in the regular season, failure in the postseason.

He was a completely different player before AV. AV ruined the physical side of his game.

This team doesn’t get better without trading Panarin. Period. End of story.

I've been a listener and reader for years. I'll take the Rangers if no one has claimed them.

Good move avoiding John Hynes. Lavy isn't flashy but he's a pro coach. Rumor in Jersey is we originally signed Ruff after Lavy was asking for a ton of money. I guess our ownership balked at the ask. Overall, somewhat ironic because we tried to get Gallant too. Good luck...

I have to agree. Not many north/south fast players that drive play 5v5. Defense is not good enough either

Yes, bc every single coach in the NHL has a cup. Panarin refusing to get touched when he has the puck and instead constantly turning it over is GG’s fault. Drury burdening this team with Kane which caused us to look more like a circus act than a team is also GG’s fault. Ridiculous that we’re still blaming soft players that refuse to elevate their game come playoff time on the coach. Some of these players are on their 4th coach now, it ain’t the coach.
- nyrangers9479

Dawg, where does it say anything about a cup? It doesn't. But since we're here now, yeah Gallant gets flack because he's be given decent teams and can't win. So thank you making another point for me.

Rangers need more edge/nasty skilled players. Too many nice guys on the team. Kreider is fine tho. Always shows up

He just came off B2B playoff runs where he scored 10 and 6 playoff goals in a combined 27 games.

I love that the group has passed me by on having the hottest of hot takes.

Mock draft updated. 21 picks spoken for. Waiting to hear on Washington, Pittsburgh and Calgary. I was thinking of handling the Rangers pick myself. Let me know if anyone is interested in the other teams remaining before I start to reach out to others.

Only 8 of his 36 goals during the season were powerplay goals. I gave up on this fight lol

Kreider only had 8 powerplay goals this past season

he had 4 shorthanded goals, not sure you get a lot of deflected shorthanded goals

he had 24 even strength goals, on a team where everyone thinks the main problem is 5 on 5

The combination of the Rangers being dumb and the fan base also being dumb is why I just now enjoy the mud. Let them being a laughingstock stuck in purgatory.

Kreider is the furthest problem on the team. Its the rest of the top 6 that cant drive 5v5 play. Only one good defensive pair doesnt help either

If kreider’s number is ever retired, he may be the first player to ever get booed during the ceremony lol.

Leading playoff goal scorer. Not good enough. Be more like Goodrow, not scoring, not contributing, overpaid. That's kinda players we like.

Didn't say Kreider doesn't score goals, but if you think he shouldn't be doing more
5v5 or dishing out more hits, then you are blind. He could/should be one of the most dominant power forwards in the game w/ the tools/skills he has. Too high of a standard for Kreider? Maybe, but someone has to be the leader on the offense.
