Hello! I am interested to know if an ovulation test can detect pregnancy. I have heard that some people use it as an alternative to a pregnancy test. How effective is it? Is there any scientific basis for this or is it just a myth? I would appreciate clarification as I want to understand whether it is worth using ovulation tests for this purpose or whether it is better to use specialized pregnancy tests. Thank you!

Ovulation tests are not designed to detect pregnancy. They measure luteinizing hormone (LH) levels to detect peak ovulation, not human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) levels, which increase during pregnancy. For more information, see https://femia.health/heal...on-test-detect-pregnancy/. Although some tests can give false positive results, it is better to use pregnancy tests that are specialized for this purpose to accurately determine pregnancy.
