Waiting on pick 27 and have pick 28. If I get pick 27 tonight or in am, will post tomorrow morning. The good news is we have a few days to complete the mock draft before the actual draft |

Oo Danny Nelson, thats a wild card there, I see him going all over the late 1st and 2nd rounds. This is probably a little bit of a reach with Edstrom and Stramel on the board with similar size.
Fun fact about Nelson though, he started out his hockey career as a defenseman and switched to wing. Supposedly the rumor now is he prefers to play center. |

Hm, the more I think about it… trading back would be a gamble but one Id be willing to take… TWICE!
NYR trade 23 to Anaheim for 33 and 60
NYR trade 2024 1st round pick to Chicago for 35 and 2024 CHI 3rd round pick.
From my understanding, 2024 draft isnt expected to be a particularly strong one. Assuming we end up with a late 1st round pick again, with how deep and strong the prospects are this year. Id take what would likely be a 26-32 next year and make it 35 this year.
Then we can draft both guys I mentioned in previous post David Edstrom and Charlie Stramel.

Am I out to lunch for proposing Goodrow and Garand to SJ for Barbanov? The CF Shark fans are quite insulted like I’m asking for Hertl
Anyway, Garand should be a trade chip for us. His playoff stats were really terrific this year

Sounds Reasonable though I think if trading the 23 pick for the 33 pick that second pick should be between 45 and 50

Hey Jan; as GM for the Sharks for Pick#4 you might want to post up my Pick for the 26 slot Otto Stenberg and the rationale since not only is Danny Nelson an unpopular pick per the voting here, he is at best ranked at #50...a mid 2nd Rounder and Russ Cohen's rationale is very sparse here |
