He's paying $10.5M over 3 years to get rid of Hayes in exchange for nothing (a 6th rounder is nothing). For that much salary withheld, he should have gotten more. I was hoping to hear that perhaps it included a prospect, or maybe a 2nd rounder. Getting rid of Hayes does not help the tank, but the salary hit over time does hurt the rebuild.

Let's hope Danny B is learning his lessons.

Top of my head, Mark Stone was a 6th rounder. But with flyers drafting record we can not hope for a miracle like that.

looking at the Blues roster they can't be done, what is the plan there? I give them the benefit of the doubt, they built a cup champion but it is a team with no real idenity currently.
