Is Detroit's 9 too much to ask? - Sinisalo4vr
Depends on where their GM thinks they are and does he want to ext him at some point?
you can make a case either way. If that was offered I think it would have probably come out by now imo.

I don't trade TK unless I am getting a top 10 pick in this draft. On Laughton the Flyers should trade him for 1st round pick in the 20s. That would be a good return for Laughton, plus I feel the Flyers owe him a chance to compete for a cup before its too late for him to. - jd250
What teams picking in the top ten are in a position to be wanting to trade that pick for a player like Konecny?
Maybe Detroit?

Are you willing to sign Konecny to a $8+ caphit at 28 years old for 7-8 years in two seasons?
If not, what does holding onto Konecny accomplish over the next two seasons and do you think his trade values increases from now to actually acquire a top ten pick? - psuhockey
If they are retaining on Hayes, Angelo and a rental like Walker this season, then they could possibly get a bigger haul for TK by trading him in 2024-25 with retention.

The way I saw it described was that KJ said the hardest part of his job was running out of positions to offer all his buddies.

too much can go wrong if you wait that long. Just purge the team now. I have to imagine they are getting good offers. Not slop. |

Interesting ….Lebrun said MTL wants to be in on PLD, but don’t have the NHL ready players to make that happen…perhaps Danny boy could become a third player there. The Flyers have a few guys like Sanheim, Konecny, Hart and Laughton…..not to mention guys like Hayes and TDA….the Habs have something the Flyers covet. The #5 tomorrow night. |

Which is good for next season as it ensures extra Ls.
After that, maybe a playoff team gets pushed around and wants extra 'grit' and ND agrees to go. Who knows. So many things to fix and can't do it all at once. - atibus
Roster spots should be open for younger players and not taken up by a stiff that can't play. |

I think them or maybe even the Caps if indeed they can’t move up for Michkov or he’s off the board. |

Not a good look for Danny & company these last few days. I know they can't control everything but these potential deals should not be leaked out like this before they actually happen. Both the St. Louis and Carolina deals are essentially dead, though the hope is Carolina will just wait a week and then do the deal. Only the Flyers can somehow violate an obscure CBA rule! - jd250
Deals leak out from every team and unless Briere & Co. are the ones doing the leaking, then that has nothing to do with them. It's not an obscure CBA rule. |

that to me is the best shot at a top 10 for TK. Assuming Wash is not going to "rebuild". Take Mantha as a cap dump who you can move later.

It shouldn't be obscure to the Flyers. They're the reason the rule was created in the first place.

In a perfect world where Torts isn't the coach, sure. Having Torts play a kid for 7-10 minutes a night and playing mind games with them... I'd rather they be in the AHL with ra-ra Lappy.
I'm agreeing with you; I'd rather not have ND.

It’s like you don’t understand how team sports operate when there isn’t a spreadsheet to refer to 😂
I’m confident you’ve never had a teammate in…anything really |

It seems like it was more Jonesy trying to hype up what a great place to work Philly is. He doesn't seem to understand or care that the Flyers look like the league's poster child for cronysim.

I certainly don't want a young player sitting or playing low minutes but the question I have is why would that be with a team in the Flyers position? Tortorella says that the Flyers need to get younger but had to be talked to by management to play younger players more. I agree with you on Tortorella and his nonsense. |

There's a deal to be made with the Jets,
Flip Krug & SL
For
Wheeler 24 1st, 25 2nd rd pick
then flip Wheeler at the deadline for more assets.
Heck i would tell most of the guys i acquire that this is our time frame and if your age doesnt fit in with that then prepare to be moved. - Flyerloon
If Krug won't waive to come here, I doubt he will waive to go to Winnipeg. Maybe there is a deal for Sanheim with Winnipeg though, if Briere is still trying to move him. |

He is the only president of hockey ops in the NHL that is essentially the teams head cheerleader. After, he stated the Flyers are the gold standard of the NHL.

Unlike past GMs, I would like to believe that Briere has already pivoted to other plans. |
