It's odd that they were able to keep the Provorov deal almost completely under wraps when Jones was still broadcasting the Cup playoffs and this time the leaks were everywhere. - Sinisalo4vr
Krugs agent did the leaking |

curious if/when ottawa trades debrincat, they will have some ammo to get TK. - bradster
That would be a very intersting. OTT definitely not in rebuild mode. Plenty of young talent already on the roster. TK did play junior in Ottawa. |

Familiar with G as well. Ottawa needs a goalie though, offense shouldn’t be their issue. Another Dman, and a goalie |

They will need to replace DeBrincat's scoring. I agree defense and goaltending should be top priority for Ottawa though.
Maybe they would take Sanheim. Hellebuyck would be great for them. |

Nothing to do with the trade deadline. Players acquired after the deadline are not eligible for the playoffs. It was about hiding players from the waiver draft. - MJL
Misspoke... not trade deadline... end of year contract deadline 6/30 |

I’m
Not sure they really do, and he didn’t exactly light it up. Norris/batherson, one of em was hurt almost all year. Pinto and grieg are good young players, offense is not the issue |

In 36 hours we will know everything we need to know about this new regime. Waiting sucks but it will be very clarifying if Briere and Co don’t do anything before the end of the first round of the draft. |

No pick in 23, pick in 24 for first round. I’m not sure theres A deal there. I doubt they will part with one of those 4 young guns, and I’m not taking for a package of Pinto and a 24 first |

He had 27 goals. That's not nothing. They could replace that output internally for sure. Either way they need to replace the 27 goals. |

They will replace it internally , they have a ton of talent up front and some good players missed games |

That's not it either. It was for the waiver draft. I believe in September. There is no contract deadline in the NHL for 6/30. |

Anyone else remember the last time Hall was traded to a last place team with a first overall pick to play center? |

How Savvy is it? Hall is on his ... what? ... 6th team now since being selected 1 overall by Edmonton? He is not a winner, and not the type of player I would want around Bedard. Good for Boston, they got out from under a bad contract with little effort, perhaps Briere should have apprenticed under Sweeny instead. |

Yes but you know what he means, there has got to be more. Trading Provey was a good start, but if that all there is the Flyers are missing out on a golden chance to really jump-start this rebuild. |

Chicago is killing it this offseason. The plan they embarked on at the beginning of last season has worked to perfection and they still have $27 mill in cap space along with 11 picks. |

You don't know what he means. He is saying that the rumors are fake. Trades traditionally happen around the draft into July. So that nothing else has happened to this point, other than the Provorov deal. Is meaningless. The rumored deals are being reported by highly credible sources. Which means serious talks are taking place. |
