Sanheim is a solid player and still relatively young. It is not a bad thing that he stays. The players that the Flyers are in hell for in reality are the players acquired by the GM you backed. Hayes, Ristolainen, Deslauriers, Ellis and possibly Atkinson.

He's -26 because he plays 25 minutes a night on one of the worst teams in the league.

He had 74 ESP in 82 games while the most any Sharks forward managed was 46. That's basically unheard of. The only forwards in the league with more were MacKinnon, Pastarnak and McDavid.

And those 74 ESP were 11 more than Provorov managed in the last three seasons combined.

The best defensemen of the year should be apart of all defensive categories. A plus in terms of plus/minus. Top 10 or better in blocked shots. Average ice time among all defensemen in the league. You have more wins than losses. Points sure, but points should be why you won the trophy.

If a winner of an award isn’t an actual winner in some way, I guess jd250 was right about Torts all along. Hand Torts the Jack Adams!
