I put the odds of a Kane reunion near 5% y'all. I get the theory, but then we're gonna have to reserve cap space for him into late summer or September (even if he takes this huge discount we're hypothesizing). I just don't see that happening with the pressure to lock up Laf, Miller, a backup goalie, and fill out the roster in the near term. Unless Drury has a late change of heart on Goodrow and ships him out later this summer (costing us an asset again probably), and uses that money to directly bring back Kane.
Would love to see Kaner back, but just don't see it happening. He himself seemed resigned to that likelihood in his last presser |

he said in his post draft presser that he expects to be in college for two years but will take it year by year - airjan23
Good for him but I’d rather see him get his education and work on his game. How many times have the rangers rushed their young talent? |

Would have loved Moore since he was the best skater in the draft. Perrault just has to work on power and speed. Good agility and edge work |

Perrault was an absolute no brainer, a must take in that spot
and I am one who stated that the number 1 thing they need to add was speed.
They simply could not have passed up Perrault at this spot

I really want the Rangers to trade their 2024 1st round pick for picks in the second round, assuming they can get David Edstrom. - aecliptic
I’ve heard it’s not a strong class. So the rest of the league knows, however fetch a second and third it might be a good deal. Not sure if any team has 2 second round picks. |

the bottom could fall out of the Rangers next year, they won't be trading their first round pick

Moore was already gone. I just liked him for speed and being a center. After that Perrault was the choice |

skating deficiencies can be addressed with a skating coach. probably wasnt a priority given how effective he was at prior levels. Id say in 2 years while he grows 1 more inch and adds 20 lbs to his body, he will be ready for the NHL. playing against full grown adults in college will help him as well. that's where he will get some help on his skating. - gskalt
College hockey really is the perfect place for him to round out his game. Significantly more physical and lower scoring. He’ll have to work harder for his points which will go a long way as he gets closer to the NHL. As far as his skating, watching a lot of video and he actually has decent quickness and speed. He just hunches over a little and takes a couple extra strides to get going. Looks like a pretty athletic kid so I’m confident he’ll get it straightened out. |

Patrick Bacon declaring Brennan Othmann will never play a shift in the NHL has made this even more fun.
I may even have to find a way to get on twitter again when Othmann pans out just to personally shred the guy - jimbro83
Ok. I'll let him know. |

well, I actually expect them to make the playoffs next season
but, just in case the bottom drops out, who knows some crazy injuries could happen, they aren't going to trade their first rounder next year for a couple of 2nd rounders this year
that's a silly suggestion

It’s definitely not in the top 10 things you need in a draft pick but swagger is nice amongst all of the pieces of white bread slathered in mayo in the league - picklerick

As long as Igor stays healthy I am 99.9% sure they make the playoffs. Making a run only happens if Drury can work some magic on the roster |

No you're not understanding, Jim is 100% right. I'm praising him. It's what I would have done. I said what I thought last night. 2 posts and moved on. Nothing I can do about what the Rangers plan and executer . Perreault is now part of their organization. Now we see how day 2 goes. |

Theres a few teams.
Ducks have 3, Hawks have 4, Wings have 3
Its not, thats why Ive been talking about wanting to trade it for 2nd round picks this year. However, the 2 guys I was hoping theyd target in the 2nd round got drafted: Stramel and Edstrom. |
