Throwin my balls out on the guillotine lol
I think this is a Bergeron clone, but a winger. Very smart player. I betcha he’s the eventual captain in like 10 years. I think this guy is a can’t miss. He won’t need to be fast to be effective
This is huge, I’ll call it lucky, get for the org much like when Miller fell imo |

Had this one in the can, huh?
Nice work Jan. Thanks for all your hard work!
This guy is the Adam Fox of forwards. Lot of teams wanted him. |

Clearly was projected to go much higher. Get him on a skating program and work on his defense. But he is a pure playmaker and above average scorer to date |

Otter.ai? That's how I do my game notes and used to do blogs. Such a time saver.
Who were you projecting/hoping the Rags got? Was there a handful of guys you'd take any one of? |

There goes Ritchie. I know STL wanted him. Colorado made a good pick there. |

I liked Brindley. Didn't expect Perreault to be there. Happy with the pick. Would have been the same with Musty or Brindley. |

Sakic and management there know what they are doing. Dealt Newhook, replaced him with Ritchie and Colton plus have the 31st pick |

Yep. They are like Chicago circa 2010-11. Keep cycling players for picks and keep winning. |

Nugget on Gabe:
He’s got great hands and sees the ice exceptionally well. The puck is on his stick for a stride or two, just long enough to draw a forechecker, then it’s on the tape of a teammate in motion with space. Perreault is a deceptive, adaptable, pacey playmaker who always makes the right choice with the puck. He can sequence plays, put pucks into space, and problem-solve against numbers with relative ease. -EliteProspects 2023 NHL Draft Guide
Doesn’t really even mention his skating issues. This is as good and maybe better than the Othmann pick. This is an epic steal and lucky the other GMs get cute. Arizona guy should be fired |

Rangers made the right pick here. Unlike Laf & Kakko he’s going to get 2-3 seasons to develop before coming into the spotlight. He’ll bulk up and improve his skating, but he’s got the intangibles you can’t teach.
Now Drury’s gotta find some speed. |

It’s going to be like Arron Rodgers when he fell teams will kick themselves. I can’t remember his name, but a draft guy I heard said he thought Perrault was arguably a top 5 pick, and certainly a top ten pick in his opinion. 23 for him is flat out grand larceny. He probably slipped regarding the skating knock I guess. But some guys don’t need to be fast to be effective
This pick got me aroused, fully

Still needs to find that extra gear in my opinion. But Dom Muse was his coach in the NTDP, which should help him work on what he needs to add to make it and then thrive at the top level. |

Took best player available. That's why they win.
If they had simply paid Grubauer, they'd probably have won back to back cups. |

Bergeron 2.0. Patrice was never fast I don’t believe. I know it’s a concern but I’ve heard alot about this kid, and he’s a can’t miss. I’m serious I had some time to research being laid up for a week or so. I’m stunned he landed so far out of the bleachers ffs, in our lap. Grand slam pick. |

From our mock draft, I think we got 27 of the 32 players that went in the first round. Didn't have Molendyk, Stenberg, Cowan, Lindstein and Edstrom. Still available, who should early next round, are Cristall, Brindley, Heidt and Dragicevic |

Which is why nearly 2/3 of the league passed on him?
I'm kidding, but this is a good pick. I would've been fine with the Penguins taking him at 14.
