I just don’t know how anyone can figure out a contract with him. Sounds like he wants multi years. How can anyone do that unless they know he can get back to where he was.

If hes not, he goes back on the bench. It costs us nothing to keep him on LTIR.

If hes 95% healthy, guys of his caliber dont just forget how to play. Im sure he will be working and training everyday.

Completely different than kucherov or stone situations though. Kane will be ready in December-ish and I don't see him wanting to sit out 4 months just to come out the stands for a few playoff games. Have to factor the player's perspective into this as well.

Stone and kucherov were signed long-term and in their primes when their injuries happened, not nearing the end of their careers.

We gain an extra 200k on top of the 3.6 million. It really makes the most sense. It’s not until 2027 that we start paying it back. Who cares, this team is in a win now mode.

Doubtful, unless they clear more space. They have about $9.5M in space now. Varly will be ~$2.5M. They'll need to sign or replace Mayfield too. Not gonna be big money left over after that.
