Right. But by nature Shorthanded goals are lucky because they are so infrequent.

That is a silly take from someone who watches every game and sees Kreider and Zibby come up with a high danger scoring chance on virtually every penalty they kill!!!

I'm not knocking him. He's an incredible goal scorer. Already said Laf was not replacing that. What about this entire thread (Kreider) has been a hot take? Nothing. The goals are by detention lucky just based on frequency. That also does not mean plays he made to create the goals shorthanded were lucky.

probably could if we want to waste another 2nd round pick, but not likely since they had to deal one to get rid of Nemeth

Rangers aren’t buying out Goodrow. The window to place him on waivers by noon has passed

I have no clue what this franchise is doing

It's just an odd stance. Kreider had the same G/60 while shorthanded last year (1.8) as he did on the PP. Both of those metrics were better than his G/60 at even strength (1.4). So statistically goals were more frequent for him when he was shorthanded than at even strength, he just spent less time shorthanded.

It's just odd to say one set of goals is lucky and the others make him an incredible goal scorer. I think most people can wrap their head around an element of luck being involved in all goals, but to say that the shorthanded ones in particular are lucky is what people aren't understanding because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think but that doesn’t help them fill out the roster when free agency hits
