No waivers for the #NYR, which indicates there are no buyout plans at this time. They would have had to place someone like Barclay Goodrow on waivers by today to execute a buyout before tomorrow's 5pm deadline. A second buyout window will open if any RFA files for arbitration.

Deadline for placing players on unconditional waivers for buyout purposes is tomorrow, not today, confirmed by folks at CapFriendly. So...that possibility does remain in play for Rangers and Goodrow.

new assistant coach Dan Muse coached Perrault and Fortescue so Im sure he had a voice in them sacrificing a 7th to make sure Pittsburgh didnt steal him

Yea got one in Housley who is a long time veteran coach who has worked at all levels. Muse worked with kids in the development program and Peca that long time NHL vet who knows all the ins and outs on what it takes to win as a player.

Its why I wanted them to trade back with this years and next years 1st for a couple picks in the 2nd this year. However its hard to argue that drafting Perreault wasnt the right choice.
