If he scores 20 goals this year (and stays healthy) however, he will have value.

I don’t disagree but I just felt cruel putting one of Knies or Domi on a line with Kampf
- Canada Cup

True ...Poor Kampf gets about 95% d-zone starts. Anybody playing with him gets that burden. I just can't see Domi or Bert being trusted in that role. Knies gets to learn a little and maybe he gives you some of the Mikky offense on a line like that.

Konecny has a better chance of hitting 50 than Robertson hitting 20.

I am totally lost with what's going to happen there.

I trust Brad as of now though...Hopefully this doesn't drag out all summer. I am almost at that time where I take a break from thinking about hockey for the summer.

What’s the best 3rd line in the NHL?

Carolina’s?
Martinook Stall Fast?
Maybe now it will be Bunting, Stall, Fast.

Vegas
Smith, Karlsson, Amadio?

Where does Toronto fit in with Kampf leading the way?

That’s why I thought that maybe you can slot Holmberg in on a 3rd line. He plays a good positional game, and won’t destroy Knies’ soul. Kampf is used purely shutdown in a shutdown 4th line and is primary PK guy with Mitch. They can adjust minutes, maybe line makeup if protecting a lead.

Svechnikov - Aho - Tarasenko
Bunting - Kotkaniemi - Necas
Noesen - Ponomarev/Suzuki - Jarvis
Martinook - Staal - Fast

I do like Reaves riding on a line with Knies.

Could still be another signing here for the bottom 6.

I don't like just handing Holmberg and Robertson spots.

Paul Stastny is out there.

Toews if he wants to play.

Bailey.

All older players who likely take a cheap ticket at a chance at a cup.

Stastny hasn't decided if he wants to play yet or not.

Florida's was really good but Boston's I think was the best all year with Coyle and Frederic and whoever else (I think it was Hall most of the year).

Leafs are top heavy so I think the inexpensive bottom six plan is a true defensive line (Kampf) and a pure energy line with Lafferty and Reaves.

Top two lines get paid to play 40 minutes .....time to put up or shut up big boys.

**I think I said the same thing last year ...and the year before ...

Last year was almost definitely Vegas' line.

Next year? who knows. Too many depth parts still moving.

The nice thing about Holmberg and Robertson is that they're waivers exempt. As such, I can't see them necessarily sticking with the big club unless they unexpectedly become big boys.

I'd stay far away from Bailey, I don't think Toews would sign here (WPG likely?), and Stastny I just don't know about (how did he do with the Canes?).

Definitely agree though that Treliving's work isn't done yet. Very much unsure about Willie and if they decide to pull the trigger on anything pre-season or roll the dice and wait until the off-season (more likely?).

I think Jarnkrok and Nylander are moved and maybe Lafferty(Though I think Lafferty will get 15 goals in 3rd/4th line minutes this year.)..
