There's a chance. Doubt the Leafs pick him up without shipping Brodie out. Brodie plus a prospect for a sleeve of golf balls. Detroit or Kraken perfect landing spot. - winsix
Maybe Brodie and Murray going to DET?
They still have like 10M in space.
Detroit could buy him out in the 2nd window. |

I wonder if that quote will come back to haunt him.
"I was pretty lucky as a kid to grow up around that same sort of vibe in Toronto with my dad, but Montreal's a whole other level," Domi told TSN. "I get it, Toronto's got their fans and the Leaf Nation is pretty big, but there's nothing even close to Montreal and their fans down there. The fan base for the Montreal Canadiens is second to none." - Scabeh
I'm sure it'll be brought up but I don't think anything will come of it. Everyone already knows he was just pandering. It's been talked about since he said it, really. |

If they do move Brodie, I hope it's a western team |

They got a pretty good guy this year, though. |

Yeah. Everyone who’s ever been to MTL knows that place is a poop-hole and the people are bumholes. |

Brodie and Murray to DET.
Dumba to Leafs.
I won't try to guess a contract at this point because Treliving does what he wants. |

I am starting to believe that he has a few deals already lined up for Nylander and Murray |

Brodie is still really good. Why are we adding in a prospect to trade him? And for nothing? |

Can’t wait for Holl to be named 1st star after the Leafs/Wings first matchup. - Woderwick
He is Larry Murphy 2.0 Remember when Leaf fans booed the poop out of him? Traded to Detroit and ended up winning back to back Stanley Cups??? Keep booing and trash talking your players. They always come to bite you in the a$$ 🤷🏻♂️ |

But I do know for a fact that there's a lot of poopheads in Toronto. |

agree he's good, he's also a $5M cap hit. There have been conversations about buying him out, but he can be dealt to a team for minimal cost to take the hit. I doubt most GM's believe he's a $5M player. Canes are trying to move Pesce and he's only a $4M cap hit (probably better than Brodie)

On the one hand, a 1 year deal with the Leafs would make a lot of sense for him, since every team in the league apparently wants everyone that plays and then leaves. He could make that into a big deal elsewhere the year after. |

If you get the 2022-2023 version of Matt Dumba to replace Brodie, I'm not convinced that's an upgrade.

No one is booing Brodie, in a tight cap situation, there are only a few options to create cap space and Brodie is one of them.

One idiot talked about a buyout and the Leafs themselves shot that nonsense down immediately.
All stats say Brodie > Pesce. So Brodie gets bought-out and Pesce get Nylander in return? It makes no sense. Only advantage Pesce has is his age. |

I don't think it is, either.
But, maybe Dumba can do his best Luke Schenn impression and play his best with Rielly. |
